Deer Lake State Park is my favorite beach closest to Prominence (.8 mi). Check out these two links to videos of the park. There is an entry fee of $3 per vehicle/day or $2 per pedestrian or bike/day. Visitors to the park can purchase single-use day passes at the link to the park below or pay cash using the envelope honor system.
