Fuzzy photo but this man’s vision was clear. Errol Walton Barrow, affectionately known as “The Skipper” and “Dipper” saw the possibility of a better Barbados for Barbadians. Education is the key to progress, and Barrow knew it. He established the Barbados Community College and implemented policies that greatly improved access to education in Barbados, raising literacy rates to one of the highest in the Caribbean. His scholarship program for Barbadian students to study abroad helped to produce a generation of leaders who have made significant contributions to the island's development.

We’ll cross that bridge when we get there…. Such a saying and especially apt when running through . One of my favourite memories is crossing that bridge with my grandfather back in 1987 when it was refurbished and reopened. He took me to the opening ceremony and let me March across like a little soldier…. good times and good memories. Come run and make some memories in one of the the oldest cities in the Caribbean, , .
