In early August of 2022 we visited Chattanooga, to meet a good friend of mine, Nelson Bruno. We had dinner, walked around the beautiful downtown and the next day took a train ride onboard the historic Chattanooga Railroad. We finished our short stay by visiting the rock city gardens. Even though we got drenched at the gardens by a sudden rainstorm, we had a great time. Definitely going back to Chattanooga in the near future.

After Hartwell State Park, we proceeded to Southeast GA and stayed at the KINGS Bay Naval Submarine Base. RV Park. Had a beautiful shaded spot on asphalt, good spacing between sites and a nice view of one of the bases many lakes. Spent a few days there checking our old hangouts, and had dinner with my godson who is an active submariner onboard one the TRIDENT Submarines based there. We even had to desl with some of the torrential showers in the afternoon.

The camp is inside the base and you need to have military ID to reserve it and access.

We spent a nice week at the Navy’s Blue Angel Morale Welfare & Recreation camp at Pensacola NAS. Enjoyed checking the views, including the Battleship Alabama in Mobile, and the great food of the local rest aurants. We are definitely coming back again!

Our second trip. This was in May 2022 to a camp called “Anchor Down RV Resort”. Beautiful place! Had a great week. Had a flat tire and a DEF system failure on the way out that left us on the side of the road overnight until we could get the RV towed to a Cummins engine repair center!

Nuestro segundo viaje en el RV. Esto fue en mayo de 2022 a un campamento llamado "Anchor Down RV Resort". Hermoso lugar! Tuvimos una gran semana. Tenía un neumático pinchado y una falla en el sistema DEF en el camino de salida que nos dejó a un lado de la carretera durante la noche hasta que fuimos remolcados a un centro de reparación de motores de Cummins!
