The Blue Water Retreat are expanding their business in 2025 and are looking for new staff to assist with this development.
Specifically, we are looking for EXPERIENCED staff in the following areas:

Chefs and experienced kitchen hand.
Restaurant and bar manager
General Maintenance Manager
Guest Relationship Manager
Massage Therapist
Housekeeping
Marine Manager (looking after five vessels and marine staff)
Skippers and whale swim Guides
Sport fishing guide
Tour guide for land based tours

All prospective applicants must be able to reside in Eua from June-November, 2025.

Great remuneration is being offered.

And that's a wrap for the 2025 whale swim season!
We have been fortunate to have good whales every day from the season opener on July 1st thru to today the official end of the season.

On behalf of my Dream Team here at the Blue Water Retreat we would like to thank all of our loyal guests from across the globe for your ongoing support.

We have some exciting new plans for 2025 snd still have limited vacancies for the next season. Stay tuned for more info but the below pic will give you a few clues.

The Blue Water Retreat is looking for a project manager/experienced builder to manage the expansion of their retreat in 2025.
The suitable applicant must be able to live on site in Eua from February 2025 through till December 2025.
They should have experience in working in remote places and keeping on budget and on time.
This position is open to Tongans or international applicants.

It's a wrap! The first Nukualofa Fishing Club competition based from Eua island and hosted by the Blue Water Retreat in trying conditions on Saturday November 9th. 11 boats signed on (including 6 local Eua Island fisherman) and over 30 competitors.
Very closely thought out competition, especially between the top 3 boats.
4 different species of tuna weighed, mahi mahi, wahoo, a nice blue marlin caught by our only female angler in Kyndera Keithley and a great mix of other species!
Congratulations to all Competitors and especially the winning mixed International team (Richard and Craig from Australia, Kyndera from USA and Tongan Felix)
Thanks to all who supported this event and to our helpers.
Here's to another great year of fishing ahead.
Hope to see you all next year.

This weekend we are hosting and sponsoring the Nukualofa Fishing Club fishing tournament here at the Blue Water Retreat. We have competitors here from Australia, New Zealand, England and from around the Kingdom of Tonga.
The lead up fishing this week has been awesome with lots of mahi mahi, marlin, wahoo, dogtooth, jobfish and lots more!
The competition is an open event for both spearfishing and line fishing.
Here's to a safe and successful event.

The Blue Water Retreat are seeking an experienced chef to work at the Blue Water Retreat restaurant based in Tufuvai, Eua.
This is a full time position and includes lodging and excellent remuneration. A couple would be considered if both have kitchen or hospitality experience.
This position is available immediately and can be seen as a long term position.

Another very happy and generous group of guests have recently departed. Steph and the Ocean Zen crew were very generous and bought some gifts for the local Tufuvai primary school whilst enjoying their week long whale swim package. They also left some great pet care products and supplies for the dogs of Tufuvai.
The lovely kids from the school even sang them a nice song. Awesome vibe with this crew.
