The minaret, a characteristic religious building for the period of domination of the Karakhanids, was built in the 2nd
half of the 11th century. According to the ratio of the sizes of the parts, it can be considered that in ancient times the
minaret had a height of at least 45 meters. Later, the upper part of it collapsed during one of the earthquakes.
In 1923, a 5-meter final lantern in the style of the Andijan school was added to the surviving part.

The modern height
of the monument is 27.4 m.
The mausoleums and the minaret were built of baked bricks with the use of ceramics. Looking at these perfect works
of architectural art, one never ceases to be amazed at the skill, mathematical training and sense of beauty of the
people of a bygone era.

Sary-Chelek is a mountain lake, the largest in the Western Tien Shan and is the basis of the eponymous reserve of 5 lakes.

Sary-Chelek is located in the western part of the Jalal-Abad region, in the foothills of the Chatkal Range, at an altitude
of 1940 meters.Lake Sary-Chelek is of the dam type. It was formed about 10,000 years ago after a powerful earthquake
that blocked the valley with the river flowing through it. The area of the lake is approximately 50 square kilometers, and it
stretches for 7.5 kilometers in length. The first thing that catches your eye in Sary-Chelek is the amazing purity of the water.
forest, making this place absolutely unique. The shores of Sary-Chelek are densely covered with fir and spruce forests,
which grow literally from the water's edge to the very tops of the mountains surrounding the lake. From the southern shore
of the lake begins the territory of the Sary-Chelek Biosphere Reserve, which was created to preserve the unique natural
diversity of this region.

The Toktogul reservoir is one of the largest reservoirs in Central Asia, which is located in the northern part of the Jalal-Abad region.

The history of the reservoir began in 1965, when its construction began. The area of the man-made lake is almost 300 square
kilometers, occupying an intermountain depression among clay hills.
The average depth of the reservoir is 200 meters. The reservoir
is filled by the largest river in Kyrgyzstan - the Naryn River. On its shores there are two large hydroelectric power stations - Toktogul
and Kurpsai.
The views on the banks of the reservoir are quite impressive. The bright blue color of the water creates an amazing
contrast with the dried clay hills around. In summer, vacationers come to the banks of the reservoir - the water here warms up to 28
degrees. The Bishkek-Osh highway passes near the reservoir, and therefore you can admire its views right from the road.

Sulmaiman-too (Solomon's Mountain) is the most important cultural attraction in Kyrgyzstan and the country's
first site included in the UNESCO cultural heritage list, located in the very center of Osh city.

The mountain itself, which stretches for almost a kilometer, is made of limestone and has five peaks, the highest
of which rises to a height of 150 meters above the city. Due to the geological features, there are a large number
of caves and grottoes in the mountain, which is quite unusual for Kyrgyzstan.

Even at the dawn of the emergence of civilization in the Ferghana Valley, this relatively small mountain had a
cult significance for people. The first traces of worship next to the mountain go back to the deepest antiquity,
and date back to the X-XII centuries BC, i.e. more than 3000 years ago. To this day, numerous petroglyphic
drawings that dot the slopes of the mountain, left by primitive people, remind of this.

As it was sung in the song of Vladimir Vysotsky:
"Only mountains can be better than mountains."
Surely no person living in Kyrgyzstan can imagine a country without white and majestic mountains.

The fact that Kyrgyzstan is often called the second Switzerland is also not just that. Almost 90% of the country's territory is covered by mountains.
