This guy tried to get into the trash can last week after we left the Outpost! Luckily we have learned our lesson from last year when our trash can mysteriously went missing!! Now it’s tied to the tree 😂🤷🏻‍♀️🐻🌲🚮

May is one of our favorite times to visit the mountains.. the laurel is blooming, trees are full and green again, temperatures are on the rise but humidity is still low 🥰⛰️🌸🌳🌲 We have a few weekends available left in May! I spy with my little eye… a BEAR! A huge bear!! Since we’ve had this house, we have seen several bears on our security cameras… this, by far has been the biggest one we have seen. Also, they have attacked 2 of our trash cans, glad this guy left the trash alone 🐻⛰️🌲

It’s been a little over 4 years since we closed on our Brevard Cabin… this place has been one of the best investments. We’ve had so many memories in this house: board games and meals, play time at the lake and pool, hikes and walks… it was our sanctuary in 2020 when we couldn’t go anywhere. But the best part is that we’ve been able to share it with family, friends and countless guests that have loved the house just as much as we do. Happy late gotcha day to Cheers to many more!! We also have one weekend in August open and some fall availability!

Love when guests enjoy the Outpost just as much as we do!! 11/10 is a fantastic score!! We put in a lot of thought and effort into making this cabin a home away from home for our guests and reviews like this make it worth it!! There’s a few weekdays open this summer but currently fall weekends are going fast! 😍🥳🤩

When we got to the Outpost noticed the trash can was down…. Looked in our camera history and spotted the culprit!! 😳🐻 Good thing there was no trash and we have a bear bin!

One of our favorite parts of coming to is hiking the Amakola Trail System in our amazing neighborhood. These trails are a mile from the cabin and only available to property owners and their guests. You can see multiple waterfalls including: Connestee Falls, Middle Connestee Falls, Upper Barton Falls and Carson Creek Falls. ☀️🌲💦🪵⛰

It’s 37 degrees and sunny at and our kids are outside working on their nature journal painting that their Tia Ana got them for Christmas…. This place makes my heart happy during every season of the year… hot or cold, sunny or rainy… it’s always a good idea to come to the mountains! ⛰❤️🌲👩🏼‍🎨🧑🏻‍🎨🖌📒

Hands down the biggest reason we fell in love with this house when we were touring homes with our realtor back in 2018 was the wood stove… unfortunately the existing one was leaking and not “up to code” 😭 so in May of 2021 we replaced it with this baby 🥰 and it was the best decision ever!! Love the wood stove on cold fall nights 🔥🪵⛰🏠

Beautiful Friday morning at the outpost! 43 degrees and clear skies 💙☀️⛰🍁🌲 Even with cooler temperatures Brevard is worth a visit. Winter dates have the best rates!

The Cabin is open for Christmas! The December/January rates are also adjusted! Even in the winter this house is a super cozy place to be with our brand new wood stove installed in May of 2021 ⛰🔥🥰

Lake Atagahi is less than one mile from and we had it all to ourselves yesterday afternoon 😍⛰🌲☀️☁️💦 perhaps because it was a bit windy and the water is cooling down… did not stop the kids from splashing and having a blast!

Hiked to Connestee Falls with our young explorers! Beautiful waterfall within our amazing community. There are 19 miles of hiking trail in the neighborhood and the Amakola Trail is our favorite! 🥰⛰💦☀️🌲
