Family Getaway

Back in the ’90s, we started our journey to find the perfect vacation home for our family. We had been coming to the North Conway area our entire lives and we knew it was the place we wanted our family to enjoy for generations to come. We made a list of wants and must-haves for our mountain retreat and found ourselves divided from the beginning. Half of the family was interested in the woods and nature. This group had priorities of fishing, mountain biking, hiking, swimming in the rivers and winter sports when the snow fell. While others enjoyed some of those activities, they didn’t want to be too far from Shopping, eating, cocktails, village festivals and fairs. The right balance was difficult to find and the search lasted a few years! When we came across Depot Road we jumped at the opportunity as it checked the boxes for everyone in the family. Depot Road is Centrally located, just short walk to the heart North Conway Village. There is no shortage of shopping, food, and activities for everyone to enjoy. The house keeps the nature lovers in the family happy because it is on a private four-acre lot that backs up to thousands of acres of woods and mountains. Hiking, biking, fishing, skiing, it’s all right there.

Over the years our family has undergone many wonderful changes and the home has grown with our family. We’ve added a large sleeping loft to accommodate more family, a fire pit for roasting marshmallows, and a hot tub to relax in after long days of family fun. Several years back we added a lockout/ in-law apartment in the basement. Today my father, the patriarch of the family stays there from time to time, maintains the home and is usually available to greet guests when they arrive. Today Depot Road is loved by three generations of our family and we want others to enjoy it as much as we do.
