THIS IS THE BEST PART 🫶

I’m no interior designer, and have always struggled to choose artwork, mainly because I like it to be meaningful and not overly curated. When I saw this in the window at Janet Bell Gallery & Lifestyle Store , I fell in love and knew she belonged in our hallway. The pictures don’t really do her justice, you’ll have to come and stay to appreciate the true beauty!!

‼️ Such a valuable little tool, that’s free to download and works offline ‼️

If you’re staying at Nant Bychan it’s quite likely that you’re not as familiar with the area as perhaps you are at home. You might not feel confident to pronounce place names in Welsh correctly? You might be at the beach or out walking where there aren’t any signs?

Why choose Nant Bychan?

Nant Bychan boasts comfy beds, spacious open plan living, en suite bathrooms, sea views, short walk to the beach, 5* reviews, spotlessly clean….but we also put a lot of thought into the little extra touches to try and enable a relaxing stay for all! Practical or boring? ….if it means stress free, we don’t care what it’s called! 🥂

GRANDPARENTS (the best people on earth!)

90% of our bookings so far have been multigenerational families; an opportunity to spend some quality time together without the distraction of everyday life! I don’t know about you, maybe you’re lucky enough to have your grandparents, but for me I just have memories, all of them special! That same story AGAIN, some words of wisdom during hard times and always an extra chocolate biscuit when Mum said no 🫣 We love that Nant Bychan attracts those wanting to celebrate special family occasions and we think this photo captures that perfectly!
Wishing Alan a very happy 80th birthday this weekend, celebrating at the beach with his wife, children and grandchildren. Priceless 🎂

BEDROOM 1

Bedroom 1 has a Kingsize bed with luxury linen and a choice of feather or synthetic pillows as all of our bedrooms do! Each bedroom also has a blackout blind, bedside lamps and clothes storage. Bedroom 1 has its own en suite - swipe right! We provide hand and bath towels, bath mats and hand wash as standard. Travel cot available for this room if you wish to book us at full capacity - 8 adults and 3 babies. Children are of course, most welcome here but over 2’s would count as part of your ‘8 adults’ to ensure you can enjoy the space comfortably. Message for any further details!

Moelfre Lifeboat Launch

Always in awe of those who risk their own lives to keep us safe. Great to have an opportunity to show our appreciation for the crew and of course, to see the lifeboat launched in all her glory, knowing there wasn’t an emergency!
Let’s hope 2023 will see the return of Moelfre Lifeboat Day!

BEDROOM 2

Bedroom 2 is set up as a superking as standard but can be set as twins at no extra cost. (Bedroom 3 also has this facility). Bedroom 2 has sole use of the shower room next door ➡️. All of our bathrooms have large shower enclosures with both rainfall & handheld shower heads and a heated towel rail.

UTILITY (laundry/ boot room)

I’m not embarrassed to admit that I love a utility room! Out of sight, out of mind? When you return from your outdoor adventures, you can walk down the side of the house to the patio where you will find an outdoor hot and cold tap for washing down. Through the back door, the first room on the left is our utility which is home to all of the usual suspects; washer, dryer, basic cleaning items, coat hooks and a pull out spray tap.
The large heated towel rail is a godsend for wet clothes and towels (especially during the cooler months). What you can’t see in the photo is a large overflow fridge/freezer for larger groups (in addition to the fridge in the kitchen) and our EXTRA KIT box.

When booking you will receive all of this information and more, in the hope that you can look forward to a stress free stay and pack a little lighter!

GO YOUR OWN WAY!
We like The Tavern on the Bay, to play on the park and the restaurant itself. From Nant Bychan you can drive there in around 7 minutes, walk along the beach at low tide or via the coastal path in around 20 minutes at a steady pace; you can go your own way!
Once there, there’s a varied menu for family dining, with views out to sea. Large outdoor terrace too, so whether it’s a few drinks or a full blown meal, it’s a great place to visit. I always advise booking well in advance, as you’d imagine it’s very popular!

BEDROOM 4
At Nant Bychan we comfortably sleep 8 (+3 under 3’s). Our bedrooms are all large and spacious. Bedroom 4 has a double bed, luxury bedding and space for a travel cot. This is the only bedroom on the first floor and whilst it doesn’t have a connected en suite, it has sole use of the family bathroom next door ➡️. Our aim was always for a simple interior with clean lines, somewhere you can feel at home without feeling like you’re in someone’s else’s house! More bedrooms to follow

HIDDEN TREASURE!
We got the call from our solicitor’s to say the sale had completed, but before the agent brought the keys we had to strim our way to the front door!! Then there was the pre fab garage and the metal shutters at the windows….it feels like a lifetime ago, but here she is in all her glory! Nant Bychan is nicely set back from the road with some greenery for privacy and ample parking for 3 cars. South facing rear garden with patio, grassed area and barbecue terrace. We’ve had a holiday here ourselves this week, the first time we’ve been without a huge list of jobs. Still plenty of gardening to do but that will come. Happy holidays 🍻

SEAS THE DAY!
Benllech Beach is a sandy (yes real, yellow sand!) largely sheltered beach only a few minutes stroll from our front door. Come rain or shine, any season, it’s a beautiful place to be!
Follow our checklist for a stress free visit:
🦀 Check the tides; on our posh poster or you could just look through the windows upstairs!
🐚 Borrow one of our beach towels from the basket in the utility.
🔑 Head out of the front door!
We also have a warm outdoor tap for rinsing down when you return (Bampa’s spec to spoil the grandkids!).

It’s hard to believe that this front doorway was once a square window on the stairs of a tired, 70’s property. We hope you’ll agree that she’s now an an attractive seaside holiday home, maybe even with a little wow factor?!

HUNGRY!!

We LOVE food….and the occasional drink of course! From a cup of tea with a biscuit, to fish and chips with a beer or a beautifully cooked Welsh fillet steak and a glass of red. There’s a time and a place for them all? All of the places pictured are within walking distance or at most, a 10 minute drive from Nant Bychan, a great selection for all tastes and budgets. CHILD FRIENDLY

Parents don’t go on holiday, they take care of their kids in a different location don’t they?! We’ve tried to make things a little easier; a designated child friendly eating space, child proof cutlery and dishes, a baby monitor and much more. There are so many activities and places to visit locally for children of all ages but for those bits in between when it would be such a treat to have a moments peace, we’ve got you covered!

OUT WITH THE OLD This space was looking pretty tired and was crying out for a transformation……keep watching to see our newly refurbished open plan living space. We comfortably cater for 8; 4 bed, 4 bath, utility, gardens and off street parking for at least 3 vehicles. 🌊 BY THE (blue flag) BEACH Real time from Nant Bychan with a 3 year old - 2.30 mins. Benllech Beach has maintained its iconic Blue Flag status since 2008, one of the worlds most recognised awards for beaches. A crescent shaped bay of fine golden sand and clear blue water. OVERGROWN BUSH Aside from the house itself, Nant Bychan has plenty of outdoor space. The front is made up of a web of pathways, ideal for hide and seek! Whilst the south facing rear garden has a sea view, perfect for barbecues after a day at the beach. *videos taken after initial trim, bushes still in need of serious grooming!

BACK TO IT 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 We spent months looking for a suitable project. A family holiday home; somewhere we could spend time together by the sea. Not a big project....just a small renovation 🙉. Then Dad went off piste and viewed Nant Bychan.....the rest is history.
