And Part 3. Mudgee to Moree. Thanks to for their hospitality at their 5 star caravan park. From Tommy, site manager to the garbage collector, we could not ask for more fun. Egg and spoon races on Easter morning and egg hunts then off to the family reunion. And of course to finish off the trip, why not do 1000km in 1 day to get home.
Home to start planning our next adventure.

Part 2
Make sure you stop off at the cutest town Braidwood except if it’s a Tuesday or Wednesday. The Vanilla Cafe is our highlight for coffee and cake, definitely worth the stop just for that. And yes Goulburn is known for The Big Merino, but head up the hill to the War Memorial and Museum, amazing piece of architecture and history for the first world war. This trip did take on a few war memorial detours, but don’t expect anything else from a past army engineer. And then there is our new love town. Mudgee has so much to offer, we even pulled out some clean clothes and toilet bags to spend a night at the Parkview Hotel Mudgee. Travelling over Easter can be challenging so shop up before you leave as country towns take advantage of 4 day weekends. Forgot to mention Oberon for a night on the lake.

What do you do when you need to travel 1000 km North East for a family reunion? You head South first of course to explore.
Night 1, 15 km east of Bright to a beautiful quiet camp on the Snowy Creek. It was quiet and tranquil till 10 hunting dogs arrived for the night.
Next time you travel though the Alpine area, you have to stop at The Harrietville Bakery (cash only thank you) for the best danish pastry ever.
Onwards and easterly kind of to Cape Conran which is beautiful and then northerly to The Saphire Coast. A must; Batemans Bay. Not going to tell you where we stayed as we don’t want it spoilt, but could happily live in the camper trailer forever at this spot on the Clyde River.

Well my time has set at Tallara. So I thought it would be appropriate to post a photo of the sun setting over the wool shed at Tallara. Just beautiful.

Thanks to Anthony and Bindy for having me. Barney and I have had a great time and learnt heaps. Anthony has even taught me a few words I’d never heard before.

So until I head off on my next adventure, get out and enjoy our fantastic country wherever you are.

Cheers, Outback Bob.

Well, the Shearing is done, and someone is pretty happy with the result. He reckons he’s done a great job.

Camped on the Darling River. Was great to see water flowing along this once bustling river of paddle steamers and sheep stations. We camped at the site of the old Coach and Horses Hotel where they loaded wool bales onto the steamers. Never seen the bush so green and lush.

I'm not much of a fisherman, but the boys said I caught a nice red-bellied trout.

A great surprise came in the mail yesterday, the first of our new shirts have arrived and we at Outback Bob's Adventures are pretty stoked.

A massive thanks to Inger (aka Bush Chook) for the design work and to Doug aka (Croc Dundee) for working with our suppliers to make this happen. There are heaps of colours and sizes and they come personalised with your choice of name.

We would love to know your thoughts on how they look.

You may think I’m trying to tune the aerial on the TV, but I’m actually out tracking Mala, first using the base station aerial and then tracking through the bush.

Even managed to interrupt a couple of them getting a bit intimate.

I got to do my first fence run today. They drive the cat/fox-proof fence 3 times a week to make sure there are no holes and it hasn't lifted at the bottom. It's 47 km and took about 3.5 hours. That makes sure the mala are all safe We also got to see old mate sunning himself on the fence about halfway around. Thanks for the tour Eliza.
