We started around 8.30am and reached Kadapa around 3pm.

Route- Bangalore - Madhanapalli - Vayalpadu- Kaligiri- Rayachoti- Kadapa
250 kms approximately

We didn’t choose Gurramkonda road as it was so bad when we visited previous times. So from Madhanapalli we reached Rayachoty via Vayalpadu. Road was better and can also enjoy rural areas.

Chinthamani - Madhanapalli road is still under construction and only few stretches are completed. When we go to Kadapa we traveled in daytime. So it was not that much hard to cross this area. But next day when we returned it was night time. So we found it very difficult. Usually we come via chitoor. But this time we decided to travel in this route itself to save some time and fuel. But it didn’t save much time.

Trip- Nandi Hills

It was just one day family trip to Nandi Hills and Lepakshi. Though Nandi Hills is famous for early morning visits, its also a worth place to spend sometime at other hours of the day.

When we visited it was around 11am. So as expected it was not cool enough and of course no mists to enjoy the valley views. So we spent our time in and around Sri Yoga Nandheeswara temple. As it was a family trip, we took plenty of family photos there. Even for photographers its one of the ideal place to model photography.

There are restaurants at the top. But we took only coffee there and left the hills for lunch.

Returned to Bangalore
Started at 11 am after finishing our breakfast in Goa.

When we return we decided to take on Anmod Ghat session road. We decided so as it’s the shortest route and last time also we traveled in this route. So we know the road conditions well and selected this route. Road conditions are good overall, but like before Anmod ghat road till Ramnagar is still worst as Road construction works were stopped abruptly. Its worst approximately for 5 to 10kms.

If you travel in a vehicle with good road clearance and you are also a skilled driver, you can select this route. Otherwise I never suggest this route. Instead you can take karwar route in which you have to drive approximately some 100 kms extra.

After Ramnagar its a toll road and it’s very good. We can also enjoy the scenic beauty.

Its also included in tour package. Lunch was provided in the serene place surrounded by luscious spice plantation.

Dudhsagar waterfalls.

Its a package tour. We were picked up near our resort at 7am. 2 hours journey to Dudhsagar falls. They stopped the bus at some restaurant for breakfast. Then after reaching Dudhsagar waterfalls private vehicles are not allowed after some distance. We have to take a jeep ride(forest department) for 40 minutes. Even then after that jeep ride we have to walk some meters to reach the falls. It was bit tedious but worth.

This place is Margao. It came en route Goa from Karwar. This route was so enjoyable with beaches, ports, agriculture farms, hillocks etc. Its so scenic. The architectural style of Margao gave entirely different feeling. I felt that we were somewhere outside India.

Though it’s not a short route we are advised to take this route as road condition is good. As told roads are really good even in forests.

Road construction works are going on here and there. In most of the places it is completed. So we have a great road mostly.

Hotel Indraprastha

We decided to take Karwar route to reach Goa. So we reached Yellapur which comes in between Hubli to Karwar. There are many restaurants there. We randomly selected this hotel which comes right side.

Its a decent vegetarian restaurant with parking facilities. Restrooms are also decent.

Near Chitradurga
Take U-turn. It comes on right side while we travel from Bangalore.

There are no much hotels on left side except Hotel Sai Palace between Sira and Hiriyur. But we crossed it earlier. Last time when we traveled to Goa we had breakfast in Hotel Sarvodhaya. So we took U-turn. Good restaurant. All South Indian foods available and in decent quality.
Restroom facilities also available.
