There are so many perks to staying on property at Disneyland. We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and LOVED it. Early entry, being able to walk to the park, a monorail themed water slide…😍😍😍. Not to mention a Trader Sam’s and a character meal (Goofy’s Kitchen) at your hotel. And you should have heard our collective gasps when I hit the wrong switch to turn off the lights and turned on the firework nightlights.

The Country Bear Jamboree is officially closed and I am sad. I know they will reopen with new songs but I’m having a hard time believing it will be better than “Blood on the Saddle.” Glad we got to see it one last time and I got to somewhat get a picture with Wendell and my kids hopped in to what was supposed to just be me and Big Al.

While we are all still snowed in…let’s talk Disney “extras!”

While we were at Walt Disney World, my Christmas gift to my whole family was a fireworks dessert party. If you have ever watched the fireworks at Magic Kingdom, you know it’s crazy…well at Christmas, it’s crazy x10. Dessert parties are a fantastic way to lessen the crowds, ensure a great spot, and partake in some of those calories that don’t count on vacation!

Dessert party reservations can be booked 60 days in advance. On the night of your party, you check in at Tomorrowland Terrace, where you proceed to stuff your face. Once you are finished, you are escorted to a grassy, roped off area. Now there are definitely still people there, but not nearly what you would be dealing with as opposed to if you just tried to watch the fireworks like normal. With my daughter in a wheelchair, we were moved up to the handicapped portion of the roped off area.

This definitely comes with a price tag, but if you are looking for something a little extra special for your family, or if you have someone with crowd issues, this is definitely something to consider!!
