First Sandhill Crane Kayak Tour happened today! What a great trip we saw lots of cranes, 8 bald eagle 6 mature two juvenile, lots of herons, 2 Killdeer, 2 kingfishers and 50 white pelicans!

We were delighted to be able to take out the Georgia-Alabama Land Trust staff to witness the nightly exit of the endangered gray bats from their maternity roost to hunt for insects. Sharing the experience and message of protecting sensitive wildlife habitats with likeminded conservation organizations is a real treat.

Sometimes we’re lucky and catch a train crossing on our trips. The Chattanooga has rich history with trains dating back to the 1830’s because Chattanooga was booming train town.
