We are heartbroken to announce that Aqva Terra's founder, Felipe 'Pipo' Cantera, passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 19, 2017.
Perhaps you are family, or one of his many dear friends. Maybe you experienced Uruguay the Cantera way, on one (or more!) of Aqva Terra's world-class collecting trips. If you were lucky enough to know Pipo, you know that he was an extraordinary man. He loved life so much and really did live it to the fullest. He loved nature, he loved his country, he loved his family and he certainly loved to laugh.
If you only knew him from this page, or from his priceless contributions to the world of Uruguayan fishes, know that this is a staggering loss that words cannot adequately describe.
Pipo, you will live forever in our hearts and in our memories.
