This is the best opportunity to have a chance to see the wildlife flora and fauna for which Costa Rica is most famous, including: Green iguanas, Black Ctenosaur, Jesus Christ Lizard, American Crocodiles, White-throated Capuchins and Howler Monkeys.

Enjoy Palo Verde National Park, which protects over 33,000 acres and is known for its ecological diversity, preserving wetlands and providing a refuge for a myriad of wildlife.

Board a covered riverboat for a 1.5 hour ride down the slow moving Tempisque River. But, be on the lookout and ready to shot those one of a kind photos.

The mangrove swamps and the marshy lagoons provide a welcoming habitat and nesting ground to the greatest concentration of waterfowl and shorebirds. Over 300 bird species including the Northern Jacana, Herons, Jabiru, Roseate Spoonbills, Egrets, Ibis, Black-bellied Whistling ducks, Scarlet macaws, and parrots have been recorded.

Liberia Airport is closed again!

It seems that,.once again, there are problems with the runway which need immediate repairs.

Some flights were rerouted to SJO,.others to Managua - one (we believe to be the Alaska Airlines flight) was returned to the USA.

While communication from the airport suggested it would only be closed until 8 pm today, ...... (Let's wait and see!)
