Located in Taibao City, Chiayi County, the National Palace Museum Southern Branch has been setting as an "Asian Arts and Culture Museum”, hoping to achieve cultural equity between the Northern and the Southern regions of Taiwan, and to drive the cultural, educational, social, and economic development in both regions.
With vast area, the Southern Branch Museum covers artificial wetlands, tropical gardens, waterfront arena, two artificial lakes, and other recreational areas. The Southern Branch Museum will feature main exhibitions that display artifacts from National Palace Museum’s rich collection of artifacts while supplementing them with international loan exhibitions. No to mention, the museum will plan a variety of awe-inspiring exhibitions to fulfill its duty as a museum for artifact collection, research, conservation, education, and exhibition as well as to introduce artifact-derived leisure and recreational activities, and engage in cultural and creative operations.

The Taipei Rose Festival is held each spring at the Taipei Rose Garden. There are over 5,000 rose plants and with more than 800 varieties from around the world. This is the most diverse rose garden in northern Taiwan with splendid and beautiful flowers. In addition to the original “Variety Area” and “Flower Sea Area,” three distinctive areas were added in 2020, namely the “Colorful Rose Garden,” “Breeder’s Garden,” and “Horticulture Plant Exhibition Area.” During the Festival, there is also a rose themed fair and stalls.

Lover's Bridge

Located in the Fisherman's Wharf in Danshui District. A beautiful place for couples or anyone wanting to enjoy the ocean view or a magical sunset. Many restaurants are near the bridge, including some favorite seafood shops the locals enjoy.

From the Danshui MRT you can take the #26 bus to the bridge. Lover's bridge is a wonderful way to spend the evening alone or with a loved one.

U Bikes are a healthy and easy way to get around the city. Riding along the riverside bike paths is always fun and relaxing.

U Bikes are located all across the major cities of Taipei and has thousands of places to rent them in each city. All you have to do is tap your Easy card and away you go. The first 15 minutes are free.

The Taiwan Zoo is only a short trip away from Downtown Taipei. You can wander around all day and see many different animals and birds. The price is very affordable too. Be sure to visit the Pandas.

The estate was the Official Residence of Chiang Kai-shek, President of the Republic of China on Taiwan. The garden is very beautiful, with garden beds, trees and topiary. For many years, the President's Official Residence was off-limits to anyone except VIPs; the average person never entered. Today, the park is free for anyone to enter. There is a small charge to enter the Official Residence.
