Portugal Dive offers you the opportunity to go where you want and to dive and see what you really want. You tell us what you want to do and we will select the best dive center to take you there. Because nobody knows more about diving in Portugal.

Spot - Reis Magos
Location - Madeira
This place is formed by a rocky wall that begins at 6mts deep and extends along the coast up to the 16mts deep where a zone of sand begins.
Here we can observe some typical species of Madeira such as Queenfish, Kingfish, Black Chestnuts, White Chestnuts, Starfish and Sea-urchins. The last ones are based on barnacles, and for this reason, the rocks seems whiter.
As we go down we observe different types of Morays, cleaning shrimps and giant anemones where clown shrimps hide.
In the sandy bottom we can find Octopuses, Mullets, Balloonfish and Lizardfish.
This spot is much sought after for night dives. At nightfall many other species appear such as Spider crabs, Flounders and thousands of bioluminescent myctoyd fish.

Spot - Baixa do Amigo
Location - Ilha das Flores

The mount top is only at 15mts deep, but the deepest zones reach 40mts.
Built by large slabs at different depths, they make a great place to wait for the entrance of schools of Amberjacks, White Trevally, etc.

Spot - Baixa da Barca
Location - Ilha do Pico

Baixa da Barca (translated into English: Barca Low) is a fantastic and challenging dive, recommended to the more experienced, because of its strong currents. Here we can see countless species due to its vertiginous depths.
At 20mts, in the lowest depth, we can see, at some times of the year, schools of large pelagics such as Bicudas, Almaco jack and Atlantic cutlassfish.
Navigating along the coast, we find corridors and landings from 30 to 50mts inhabited by the Dusky groupers, Forkbeard fish, Barred hogfish, Whiting and Scorpionfish.

Spot - Pedra da Cacela
Location - Tavira

Almost in front of Cacela Velha is this rocky outcrop of great extension. Having in its central part a crevice that serves as a shelter to numerous species like Octopus, Gorgonians, Nudibranchs, Starfish, soft coral and many species of fish.
A very beautiful spot, good for underwater photography and wild-life observation.

Barge with 4 propellers that lies upside down on a sand bottom. Although it is possible to pe*****te it, it's not advisable for the less experienced.
Its depth and position make this dive suitable for technical diving.
We can observe Congers and several other fish species.

This spot consists of an old dune that is now sedimented.
At the bottom, we have fine sediments, reason why divers should have good control of their buoyancy: as to not raise it and compromise the visibility.
The top of the rock is covered with gorgonians, some with considerable dimensions, and corals such as Dendrophyllia Ramea.
We can observe schools of Anthias, as well as lobsters.
