I’m at home trying to plan another trip to Disneyland this year! ✨

May 16th begins the year long 70th anniversary celebration at Disneyland and it will be nothing short of perfection!

Here is everything announced so far regarding this event:

🎶 There will be a new theme song in honor of the celebration called “Celebrate Happy”

🌈 “World of Color Happiness!” will debut at Disneyland’s California Adventure Park

🎨 “Paint the Night” Parade returns to Disneyland Park

🎇 “Wondrous Journeys” comes back to Disneyland Park

🎉 “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” Parade returns to California Advenure

🌟 “Tapestry of Happiness” will bring the facade of “it’s a small world” to life each night

I don’t think I can take anymore! I’m SO excited to see Paint the Night parade during my trip. Nighttime parades at Disney are my absolute favorite and I’ve never seen this one before! Unfortunately during our trip Wondrous Journeys won’t be taking place because of the Halloween celebration BUT I’d make a separate trip just for these fireworks, they are unbelievable.

Happy first day of Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival!!! ✨🌸

I love this festival so much! There are so many beautiful decorations, good food, and fun activities to enjoy!

This festival runs from March 5th-June 2nd this year so there’s still plenty of time to book a trip to experience it! I cannot believe I don’t have a trip booked during this festival. It will be the first time in years I miss it! I might just have to change that… 🤔

The Happiest Baby Shower on Earth for my new niece! 💕

My sister’s having a baby girl and we had to have a Disney themed shower seeing as she’s not even born yet and has two Disney trips planned!

I cannot believe it’s almost March and not only have I not been to Disney World this year, I also don’t have any Disney World trips booked for myself…AT ALL! Can you believe it!?

I have been so busy with my clients this year that I haven’t even had time to daydream about Disney World trips, which is good for my bank account but not for my soul. ✨

The only thing getting me by is knowing I have two Disney Cruises on the books and a trip to Disneyland! Surprisingly enough I find myself trying to book another Disneyland trip before I go back to Disney World. I want to take in all of the special celebrations for their 70th anniversary!

I have a few more weeks to decide if I’m letting Nolan’s annual pass expire…but I think I’m going to do it! Who wants to go to Disneyland!? 😅🫣✈️

After 11 Caribbean cruises, we finally visited Jamaica! There were 14 of us traveling together on this sailing, and it was all of our first time in this country! 🇯🇲

We booked an excursion so we could explore the town and have an afternoon at the beach, as a bonus it came with lunch and rum tasting!

If the kids were older I would have loved to do something a bit more adventurous here because they do have some great excursion options, but it was a great first visit and I’m sure we’ll be back again soon!

The port we were most afraid to visit, ended up being our favorite from our entire sailing!

Did you know Royal Caribbean has a private port in Haiti? And it’s stunning! This port blew us away. We felt safe knowing Royal Caribbean secures the port and it’s tucked away in its own little area surrounded by mountains.

There are multiple beaches and activities to enjoy here, including a splash pad for little ones and a zip line. If you’re looking to relax, you can splurge for a cabana rental on the beach, or over the water but neither is necessary with how spacious this island was. Unlike CocoCay, only one ship can dock here at a time so it will never be crowded!

Since it is Royal Caribbean’s private port, food is included just like on the ship and at CocoCay.

Perfect Day at CocoCay! 🏝️

On our cruise we visited CocoCay for the very first time and we were overwhelmed! This is Royal Caribbean’s Private Island in the Bahamas and it is massive.

I love cruises that visit private islands or ports because it makes your day so easy. Simply get off the ship and enjoy your day! We found so many great spaces to relax and have fun, one of our favorites was Harbor Beach (funny enough the name of my niece!). This was a little lagoon perfect for the kids to play, but with two big ships in port that day this area got crowded (photo at the end).

This island truly has everything and we didn’t even explore half of it. There is an adult only beach and pool, multiple family beaches and pools, a splash pad, and a full water park (extra fee).

Since it’s Royal Caribbean’s port, food is included just like on the ship! I found the food here to be the best I’ve had on a private island. The options were endless, and with so many different spots to eat we never had to fight for a table even with two ships in port.

Because we visited in January, the water was a little too cold for us adults to enjoy, but I’d love to go back in the summer to get to experience the pool and adult only areas!

Something that absolutely blew me away on our Royal Caribbean sailing was the entertainment! Bigger ships mean bigger performances and Symphony of the Seas has an entire aqua theater and ice skating rink for shows! Hiro, the aqua theater show, truly felt like a Cirque du Soleil performance.

Although advanced reservations are highly recommended, we were able to walk into the shows we wanted to see using the standby lines but we did have to arrive early. So if possible, I do recommend making reservations and see all the shows you can! We didn’t plan well and missed the theater show Hairspray which only happened the first three nights of our cruise. I would have loved to see that!

Bookings become available on the first of the month, the month before your sailing through the RCCL app! There will also be a show guide in your stateroom when you arrive so you don’t miss a thing!

Can a cruise ship be TOO BIG? That is the question!

My opinion is yes…

When I first toured Symphony of the Seas, it blew me away. This ship is stunning. There are so many incredible spaces onboard, my personal favorites being Central Park and the Boardwalk. However, after sailing on it for a week, I found myself missing the smaller ships. We didn’t feel like we were on a cruise. From the spaces we spent most of our time at, you couldn’t even see the ocean so there was a big disconnect. Not that that’s a bad thing, just not what we were expecting going in.

If you are traveling with a large group of people, of all ages, who like different things, this type of cruise ship maybe perfect for you! There truly is something for everyone. I’m going to dive into the kids activities and dining experiences more in a separate post, but I will say one of the biggest inconveniences we experienced on this massive ship, were the elevators. With kids in strollers we had no choice but to use them and as many elevators as there were, I expected them to run smoother and more frequently. It felt like every elevator we were in was full, or we had to constantly wait for more to come. And with 18 decks, you can’t easily take the stairs…

We’re back from our Royal Caribbean cruise! 🌊

I have so many thoughts to share and am trying to compile them in an organized way, so more posts to come, but there were things we loved, and things we didn’t…

After this sailing, I’ve come to the conclusion that everyone will have a brand of cruise lines that they prefer for specific reasons, and Royal Caribbean isn’t for us, but I can 100% see why others love it!

I like to try different experiences from a travel agent perspective to learn and be able to assist my clients better in planning their trips and making a decision for their family vacation, so this trip was great for that. But once you find a cruise line you like, I’d stick with that one and keep accruing points and rewards, because all cruise lines aren’t made equal. 😅

There is so much for us to explore, good thing this is a week long cruise!

Every year I try and go somewhere new, and normally that is outside of the United States, however last year we had the pleasure of visiting Clearwater Florida for the first time for a wedding and fell in love with it!

Granted, it was winter so crowds were nonexistent but we’d love to come back in the summer!

2025 is already off to a big start as we will be visiting 3 new places on our cruise this weekend! As always, I will be posting live to my stories as we travel! ✈️🛳️
