Gotta love the Porta potty photo with that amazing back drop. This was a great race! 26.2 miles with some great downhill at the beginning. I am not great with sun, so the looonnnggg part running in full sun was tough. Definitely earned this medal, my 9th Marathon!

Freezing this morning, 22 degrees! Didn’t make my miles this morning as my calf is acting up and don’t want to make it worse just two weeks before the race. Feels stressful to be this close and be concerned about a calf muscle :(

I love the snow as much as I love the beach! A weekend trip to Suncadia area with the family was a great little getaway. We rented a house through booking.com, the only downside was we couldn’t use Suncadia’s swimming pool, but that was ok.

The video of Remi chasing me was the best! She loves the snow and hates to be away from my side haha. Though there is no snow on the west side of Washington, it is so amazing you can drive over the mountain to have your winter wonderland!

Well for those waiting on pins and needles to see if I did it, 18 miles done! It actually only sprinkled after I got started and then was just cloudy and cold. Was not an easy run mentally or physically, but I am proud of finishing. I post these things hopefully just to inspire other people to do it even though sometimes it seems hard and overwhelming, you can do it.

As I am sitting in my car waiting for my earbuds to charge listening to the rain hit my windshield I think to myself why did I not run yesterday?? The weather was amazing, no rain… oh yeah, I had a late night enjoying the new year, ending 2024 the right way.

I have 18 miles today, really should’ve charged those earbuds yesterday ….

Haven’t done much travel lately, but will start planning for 2025!

I was so lucky today. The rain stayed off until 9 AM., started 6:20. In the Pacific Northwest, you never really know but a 15 mile run is so much more comfortable without rain and wind!

Well, after my travels I am now behind in my training…. As the Seattle half is next Sunday, I will not be able to make up the miles but will keep running and hope my muscle memory kicks in on race day.

Training is hard, and traveling is fun! I am planning on continuing my training as the half is just the middle of my plan. Mesa marathon in February is the real end goal!

Anyone else struggling with keeping the plan? This will be my 9th marathon and I have lost track of how many half marathons.

Paris really has so much to offer. It really depends on what you want out of it. History, parties, architecture, culture. My family wanted to pet cats, go to an aquarium and check out an amazing baking and pastry school as they have one more year before they are off to college.

Whatever you are looking for, most major cities can accommodate. Today, my family, is in love with Paris.

The PNW is truly beautiful. Watching the sunset from the top of the Majestic Inn as ferries come and go on their way to the San Juan Islands. Couldn’t have picked a better night for this. Anacortes is a small town, but has some cute little shops and some great food. Happy Fourth of July!
