Whitetip shark is the most common species of shark around Cocos Island, you will see them in every dive you do around the Island.

Tiger sharks were absent from Cocos Island from the 1970's until the end of 2007 when they reappeared again on the Island, it is not known why the sharks were absent for several decades or why they returned. The truth is that they are now present and we will have the opportunity to dive with them in some of the best known dive sites on the Island, such as Manuelita Channel.

The mobula devil ray is an occasional visitor of the Cocos Island, can grow up to 3 mts and love to breach the water's surface, twisting through the air and landing with a powerful splash.

The scalloped hammerhead shark is the star of the Cocos Island diving, this species of shark can be found in many diving sites around the Island but is in Alcyone, Manuelita Island and Dirty Rock where we can find the largest schools.

Manuelita Coral Garden is one of the best dive site in Cocos Island, here you can find white tips, hammerheads and tiger sharks as well as this beautiful Commerson's Frogfish... All of that in just one dive!!
