It's a great weekend to enjoy the foliage around Port Jervis! Hike or bike some of the 60+ miles of the WaterShed Trails of Port Jervis, enjoy a drive on the scenic Hawks Nest Highway and check out the art walk today from 11:00 AM- 6:00 PM with an artists' reception at UpFront Exhibition Space.

The Third Annual Port Jervis Museum Crawl is today from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Check out the Port Jervis Fire Department's Fire Museum, Minisink Valley Historical Society's Historic Fort Decker, and the Tri-States Railway Preservation Society's Erie Boxcar Museum as well as the historic Erie Turntable!

Saturday August 3rd is the third annual Port Jervis Museum Crawl! Visit Fort Decker (minisink.org), the Tri-States Railway Preservation Society's Erie Boxcar Museum, and the Port Jervis Fire Museum all in one day from 12:00 PM- 4:00 PM. Fort Decker at 127 West Main Street is the oldest house in Port Jervis, built in 1793 and contains artifacts from the Minisink Valley Historical Society's collection. The Port Jervis Fire Museum at 8 Orange Street is a former fire station that contains historic photographs and artifacts from Port Jervis' fire departments, including an 1894 pumper. The Erie Boxcar Museum at 86 Pike Street is a museum displaying various artifacts and displays from the Erie Railroad's history in Port Jervis and is housed in an old boxcar at the historic Erie Turntable!

The reception for the Sister City Art Exchange took place this past Saturday. You can see these pieces from Lapio, Italy as well many other artwork from local artists at UpFront Exhibition Space throughout their Summer Show on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 PM- 6:00 PM.

The sister cities of Port Jervis and Lapio, Italy will be hosting an Art Exchange this month. UpFront Exhibition Space will have on display paintings by Italian artists: Rosalba Fabrizio, Albino Petrillo, and Graziano Riccelli, as well as students from Lapio, as part of their Summer Show, which begins on Saturday June 15th. Artwork from Port Jervis artists: Rita Donlon, Kat M. Hamilton, Rosalind Hodgkins, Joseph Petrosi, Jennifer Rose Rodriguez, and Port Jervis High School students Serena Moncada and Gabrielle Polarski will be exhibited at Palazzo Filangieri in Lapio. We invite you to come and appreciate the talented art by our local artists and the artists of our sister city in this exciting cultural exchange!
