This is Tumblagooda Sandstone which is a geological formation created over 420 million years ago and contains all kinds of fossils many extinct today. Kalbarri truly is an awe inspiring place!

BIG BANGS AT THE BOMBING RANGE

From the 15th to the 19th of Feb, the Navy will be conducting live fire practice from sea to land. They only do this a few times a year and if you're anywhere near Lancelin, Wedge or Cervantes you'll both hear and feel the impacts. It's one hell of a show.

They sit about 25km out to sea and lob live rounds into the bombing range.

You can expect the beach in front of the range to be closed for that period
