—Hello September—
What a great opening summer season we’ve had! Our guests (2 legged and 4 legged) have been a joy to host while they’re visiting. We look forward to the next couple months of bookings here for this beautiful transitional season. 🍂🍁🌾🌾🐾

The Bedroom Loft.
The addition of the loft allowed the Schoolhouse to gain a spacious bedroom, en suite, and closet tucked comfortably above the main living space. And of course we completed it with the best king size mattress.

TGIF, this week was a whirlwind getting ready for our first full weekend of bookings. Thankful for helpful neighbors, understanding co-workers, and supportive friends and family who helped get the schoolhouse project where it is. Now it’s time to put our feet up!

I have always had an appreciation for an old building being renovated into something new. Seeing buildings being torn down for something new or fully new builds feel wasteful. The connection between a historic structure and the perspective of something new is refreshing. in Churchville is exactly that. The 1867 structure was originally a cornerstone to an intersection alongside a community church and cemetery. The schoolhouse was purchased in 2021 and has had a remarkable, heartfelt renovation with the goal of continuing to make it a space to gather and ensure the building will be appreciated for years to come. Restoring the role of the schoolhouse as an active participant in the local community brings the charm of the structure back to life. Pieces of the past connect with the charming landscape of farms, horse pastures and surrounding community. An ideal proximity to Rochester, Geneseo and Letchworth State Park, this is truly a location to Airbnb to feel at peace staying somewhere special. // 2/8

Make preparing for your wedding day seamless with a stay at the Schoolhouse.

“This schoolhouse is everything you need and more for any occasion! It is perfect for a weekend getaway, staycation, group get together and especially wedding parties! I specifically stayed there the weekend of our wedding. With the lack of options for places to stay I was thrilled to find this newly updated AirBnb. My group was the first to stay there as guests and we had such a wonderful experience.

Location- It is conveniently located close to a lot of the venues that are sought after but have very few options for hospitality options! Our wedding was at Mill Creek Golf Club and the Schoolhouse was just 5 minutes away.

Space- The wide open floor plan and the perfectly executed decor make this quaint schoolhouse the best location for all of your girls and your glam squad! After our rehearsal me and four of my bridesmaids went back for a little girls night and all slept comfortably. In total the day of our wedding we had 15 people there between stylists, MUA and bridesmaids/family and there was never a concern about space. The MUA set up in the loft bedroom with all of their necessities while the stylist set up at the farm-style kitchen table downstairs. I had catering brought to the house and the island and counterspace made the perfect set up. Everyone was raving about how perfect of a space this was for glamming up the wedding party!

Hosts- Nick and James were so attentive and responsive to any questions or requests! They made sure there was upscale amenities, bath products and appliances. They even had fresh macaroons on the counter for us! You can see how much design and thought went into the updates of this special space. It is a beautiful property from the landscaping when you turn down the road to the attention to detail from the first step inside the door.

I would highly recommend this space when seeking out AirBnb's in our area, especially for wedding parties!”
