What is the best way to tour the globe?
Our experts in travel have outlined the top 3 ways to travel that offers the best scenery, tasty cuisines and hidden treasures:
1) By Train - traveling by train has it's pros and cons but overall, all you do is hop on, get a window seat and watch the landscape unfold. The downside is that all those amazing places you see zooming past will be a bit harder to get to... unless jumping off a moving train is part of the plan. No, unfortunately you are stuck until the next station.
2) By Plane - Yes, one can cover a great distance in a short time by traveling as the crow flies. Within 2-3 hours, you can be in another country, state and environment. The only downside is that once you get to the other side, another form of transport is required to complete your trip, usually to the accommodation.
2) By Car. Hiring a car or owning one is a probably the best way to see any destination, as it allows the freedom to stop over at any time, go down an old beaten track or experience the countryside in it's glory. The disadvantage to this mode of travel is that it can take much longer to reach your next point and driving in a foreign city/country can be daunting to some however not impossible!
But ultimately, Life on Foot is the ultimate thrill-seeker's way to travel, as this removes all concept of time and planning - you just are, and get to where you need to go at your own pace. No trains to catch. No petrol to fill up and definitely no traffic jams to sit in. You can gaze at a building, statue or culture for as long as you please - no gawking though! Lol!
So, how do you plan to travel on your next holiday?
