Dear friends and supporters,
We're sorry to announce sad news. Unforeseen events have caused us to reevaluate our 2023 season, and we've made the difficult decision to close all tours for the foreseeable future. Our official closure date is December 5, 2022.
Small businesses everywhere have found 2022 difficult, and we're no different. It’s unclear whether we’ll emerge on a different scale, offering custom/private tours only, collaborate with another tour company, or if we’ll head in an entirely new direction.
In the meantime, we offer the following stellar, all-women, small-group travel companies for your consideration. They have amazing 2023 trips lined up, we’ve researched and watched them as worthy “comps” over the past two years, and we endorse them wholeheartedly:
Canyon Calling
Adventures in Good Company
Wild Women Expeditions
Wild Terrains
Seems we were one of the only companies running all-women, as well as le***an owned & run/queer-friendly travel in the Western US, so we can't offer alternatives to that particular experience.
If you hope to visit any of the areas we’d planned 2023 Tours - south-central Utah, the Pacific Northwest, or the central Cali coast - we'd be delighted to offer tips on hikes, lodging and awesome local eateries. We know and love these places and would love to see them continue to thrive. Be in touch with Mary at [email protected] if this interests you.
It’s been our joy to share some of our favorite places with our guests, see new friendships made and witness quiet and also profound shifts in perspective happen. Women Out West was founded on the firm belief that we all need time in magical places (even barefoot in a local patch of grass or under a welcoming old tree) to sustain our hearts, slow our pace, and stir our spirits. You can bet we’ll be getting “out there” as much as possible, and we hope you will too.
Thanks again for your interest, inquiries, support and encouragement these past two years.
Here’s to keeping your feet in the dirt, face to the sun, and finding that Exhale,
Mary Hueske
