After the tour, we'll continue on our own to talk to vendors, order lunch, and discuss what sparked for each of us.

Here at Inquisitive Journeys, we care about supporting local businesses and artisans. We want to highlight and support organizations that are educating and enriching people's lives.

I recently experienced their tour and not only was I inspired by their mission but I also learned so much about our food supply.

Growing up, I knew little about our food supply. Heck, I thought that there were only two varieties of apples - Red Delicious and Granny Smith! A lot has changed over the years with new documentaries and movements toward eating more locally and treating animals better. But I still learned new information, such as the seasonal availability of fish or why artisanal-made pasta is healthier and more savory than mass-produced pasta.

On my tour, I also learned that they supported their vendors by waiving rent during the Pandemic. Amazing! Some of the shops have also partnered with HOPE Unlimited which provides retail training and employment for individuals with disabilities.
