Welcome Spring 🌺 What a gorgeous moment to visit Piedmont, its vineyards and hills. In the springtime, as the vines come alive again, gorgeous yellow and white flowers carpet the vine rows as the vines start their seasonal bud break that will yield the crop for the new year. Those first tender buds begin to sprout over the course of two months as vines of various varieties and elevations respond to the seasonal warming change at different rates.

Happy International women’s day! At The Italian Trotter, we love to share our local traditions, culture and history with people from all over the world. We have a special tradition for International Women’s Day: men give women bouquets of mimosa flowers in Italy. The mimosa represents the feminine world. This flower looks very delicate, but it is actually very strong and able to grow in hostile lands, yes just like women. This is why if your are visiting our Bel Paese at this time of the year, you’ll find flower shops surrounded by this yellow fluffy flower and people walking around with bouquets. So if you know a beautiful Italian woman, don’t forget to buy some Mimosa for her.
