Honor Yoga Mind and Energy Where mindfulness, yoga, and psychology meet to enhance the five dimensions of well-being: social, spiritual, physical, intellectual, and emotional.

3 areas of focus:

Well-being: Enhancing well-being by promoting mindful living, cultivating compassion and gratitude, balancing being mode with doing mode, learning to live more in the moment, embracing a wider range of emotions and experiences, learning radical acceptance, improving confidence, and enhancing relationships. Recovery: Learning mind-body techniques to support recovery from a wide v

ariety of concerns such as depression, anxiety, bipolar, addiction and eating disorders. Trauma: Provide support to individuals who have experienced various types of trauma to support their healing process. Research is showing that the imprint of trauma is held in the body and in our ways of relating/coping with the world. Yoga can help one become more positively connected to one's body in a safe way as well as develop mastery. Specific skills can be taught to help people deal with their emotions, whether it is feeling too much or too little. Honor Yoga Wellness and Recovery will offer specialized workshops, individual consultations and small group classes to help individuals build skills and enhance well-being.

Welcome to day 1. We are using the breath as an object of meditation today. The breath is always with you so you can introduce mindful interruptions throughout your day or do a longer sitting practice. The mind will likely wander during your practice and I invite you to bring your attention back to the breath. Check in on if you were able to meet your goal in comments section.

If you would like to learn about mindfulness in person sign up for one of my workshops at Pennington (Tuesdays 5:45 am or Thursdays 7:30 pm), Hamilton (Sundays 7:15 pm), Millstone (2/5 1:30 to 4:30), E. I went to Kripalu over the weekend with my mother and sister to celebrate each of us hitting significant milestones in our life (graduation from masters program, retirement, turning 40) and it was such a beautiful experience to unplug from life for a little while, meditate, move, and set intentions.…
