It may be National Waffle Day, but we can celebrate this breakfast staple any day...Disney sure does! Did you know you can get more than just Mickey waffles at the Walt Disney World Resort? There are waffles with Simba, Stitch and even the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser has its own waffle.

Recently, the final scene of Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress received a few updates. Along with clothing changes, matching slippers for the kids and more modern hairstyles, there are a few hidden details you may not immediately notice. For instance, Patricia is wearing a sweatshirt from Progress Tech-a nod to Walt's Progress City. Jimmy's new shirt has the logo of the defunct Mineral King Alpine Ski Resort project Walt initiated in 1965. John's Apron pays homage to the once popular Food Rocks attraction in EPCOT

Missing your friends from the Briar Patch now that Splash Mountain has officially closed at Magic Kingdom to make way for Tiana's Bayou Adventure? GO TO DISNEYLAND! Splash Mountain and its Laughing Place are still very much open at Disneyland Park! At least for now...

No closing date has been set for Splash Mountain at Disneyland just yet. So if you want to plan a last-minute getaway for one final Zip-a-dee-doodah drop into the Briar Patch, message me today!

Loews Royal Pacific Resort is basically Universal's Polynesian...but less expensive and with better perks. When you stay here (or at the two other Premier Resort Hotels) the Unlimited Express Pass is INCLUDED. I often get asked if the separate ticketed After Hours events at Walt Disney World are worth it. I'll have to let the photos do the talking for me here. Early entry into the park, all you care to enjoy popcorn, ice cream novelties and bottled drinks, with most rides walk on experiences and reduced waits on the most popular attractions is what you can expect.
If you've been to an After Hours event, did you feel it was worth the cost?

You don't have to have a green thumb to enjoy EPCOT's Behind the Seeds tour, just a fan of the "Living with the Land" attraction and well...maybe even just eating. This tour isn't a burden on your wallet or your schedule with its $35 price tag and hour long tour time. Plus, you get to see some really cool backstage areas. On this tour, they let you take pictures, which is usually not the case on tours that go behind-the-scenes.
I am TOTALLY adding this to my Disney bucket-list!
I mean just look at that Mickey Mouse cucumber mold! Is this idea...growing on you? P.S. If you're planning a vacation with me, we can look into adding this tour to your itinerary!

Want guaranteed great seats during Fantasmic!? Book a dining package! Available at 50's Prime Time Café, Mama Melrose's, Hollywood & Vine, Sci-Fi Dine In Theater and Hollywood Brown Derby, you'll get an appetizer or dessert, entree and a non-alcoholic beverage or full buffet (at Hollywood & Vine). When your meal is complete, you'll get a ticket to enter via the Dining Package line and enjoy the best seats in the house.

If the perfect parade photos are really important to you or you want the best view possible of the characters and floats, consider using the Genie+ Lightning Lane option for parade viewing. It may not be the best use of Lightning Lane, but, hey, we all have different priorities.
Do you like having the option to roll up at parade time and have a great view inside the Genie+ area, or are parade views just not that big of a deal for you?

While it's National Skip the Straw Day today, it's kind of that way every day at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. If you truly need to drink with a straw or want a lid, they will provide them to you, but you may want to bring your own reusable options if staying at this conservation conscious resort.
I personally love my reusable straws that are always in my park bags!
Are you cool with Skipping the Straw (and lids) or do you bring your own?

The force of the West Coast envy is strong with
this one. Disneyland seems to beat WDW to the
punch quite a bit, but being able to meet Mando
and Grogu at Galaxy's Edge really hurt. Is there
anything that could be brought to WDW that you
think would be better than this? Let's hear it!

Ariel must be pretty special, huh? Not only does she have her own attraction in Magic Kingdom, but right next door is a unique and finstastic meet and greet with our favorite under-the-sea princess! And you can meet her at several other locations across the Walt Disney World Resort.
I have to say this was one of the most uncomfortable meet and greets for my now-husband and I on our first trip together 4 years ago!
Raise a fin if you are a fan of Ariel! If not, who WOULD you spend time in line to meet?

I know, I know the holidays just ended, but it's the perfect time to start thinking about (and saving for) a Disneyland Resort holiday vacation.

Typically on sailings of 4 nights or more, on all Disney Cruise Line ships, there will be a Pirate Night! In addition to the party, characters and fireworks, a special menu is offered at all of the sit-down restaurants. It may seem like something just for the kids, but adults are equally encouraged to take part in all the festivities!
We LOVED the Pirates Night experience onboard the Disney Magic last April. The characters and fireworks were my favorite part!

There are so many MUST GET photos on Disney's private island, Castaway Cay. But seriously, you must not leave without posing at Mount Rustmore, it's iconic! You can find it on the walk from the ship to the Family Beach area - PRO tip: You'll miss this photo-op if you take the tram!

We are still eagerly awaiting breakfast to return, but for now, Akershus is back for an all-you-careto-enjoy dinner with a rotation of some of your most beloved princesses. Cinderella, Belle, Jasmine, Ariel and Snow White have all been known to appear at this experience. This is one of the more authentic character dining meals at WDW certainly making you feel like you are in the heart of Norway.
Looking at the menu - the food sounds a bit intimidating... but really, it's meatballs, mashed potatoes, veggies, mac and cheese and chicken and dumplings.
Does the menu speak to you or are you going to wait for breakfast to come back?
