Another lovely time away. Tamed the garden, added some shelves in the kitchen and embraced the furniture change round by the Airbnb guests and added a second palette bedside table in between walks and trips to the beach 🇫🇷😍🍷☀️🏖️🤩

A fantastic spring week getting the house ready for 2024!
All cleaned, some new furniture made by Chris and Cecily in between visits to our favourite places, 2 jigsaws and time catching up with family and friends.
Plenty of 2024 weeks available - £600 per week plus €50 cleaning - a bargain compared with UK rentals 🤪☀️🇫🇷🤩

Good availability throughout the year and the following school holiday dates:
Feb half terms
April 7-14th
May half term
All summer holiday weeks aside from 3-17th Aug when we are there.
£600 for the week plus €50 to the lovely Louise for cleaning. Bedding and towels included.

Upcycling project complete (with a bit of help from my handyman!)
Super proud that I managed to get my French numbers correct in the brico and got the wood cut to the right size 😎

It has been all hands on deck to get the garden ready for the season ahead. Brambles cleared, hedge trimmed, wood chopped with of course the obligatory bonfire 🔥😎🌷

A new table, remodelling of the den, discovery of two new awesome places (Normandie Luge & The Souterroscope), time spent with family and friends, a roaring fire, beach and forest walks and plenty of lovely autumn sunshine 🇫🇷☀️🍂🎃

Back in our happy place. My most favourite time of the year here. We’ve collected sweet chestnuts ready to roast and have the wood burner fired up keeping us cosy. Time to start the jigsaw tomorrow I think!
Lots of bookings already for next summer but May half term currently free and from 20th August

Sunny day at Festyland today….Normandy’s best theme park…..Kids did better at the spinning rides than we did 😵‍💫

Glad to be back for a decent stretch this Easter! Can’t believe it’s 4 years since we spent a very wet 2 weeks here fitting a kitchen. The weather is much kinder this year and we’re spending lots of time outdoors trying to enlarge the patio in between trips out. Some August summer holiday weeks still free if anyone not planned their summer hols yet!

It’s been a busy few days with another sunny day at the beach, a birthday and a Halloween party! We’ve also done some more work in the garden and expanded the patio slightly, found a new favourite shop and added some more furniture. Home tomorrow 😕 and time to plan our next trip!
Weekly lettings £400-£500 + €50 cleaning fee per visit to the lovely Louise who looks after our French home when we are not here 🍂🎃🇫🇷❤️☀️

A new walk discovered today - absolutely stunning countryside after a morning spent oiling the shutters, digging the garden and repairing the barn roof! Chicken casserole with yesterday’s foraged chestnuts now cooking away 🍂☀️🇫🇷❤️

Another little job done so now we have somewhere to hang our coats, some patches of garden cleared in between a trip to the forest to collect sweet chestnuts for roasting later 🍂 one of my favourite things to do here ❤️☀️🇫🇷
