You don't have to be a Vet for hearing problems. It is/was one of the downsides to our Industry.
I can’t stand loud noises after working in Flight Ops for 10 years after hearing the Flight plans being sent over than noisy printer for years!!

INFO FOR RETIREES:
There is a known issue that the date in the Shares system displays (which does not give credit for the months and years). Every retiree in the Shares system is given a Jan 1st date using only the years of service subtracted from the current year. However, even though the year is incorrect on the standby list, it you look at the top of the list, the notice said you will be placed in order using your proper board date which uses your full credit for years, months and days. This has been very frustrating for retirees. If you call ETC, or send a message through help hub, they can manually adjust the date, but the computer already has you in the proper order the SB list.
