Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary: New Experiences Coming to Main Street, U.S.A., on July 17

As we gear up for the incredible milestone that is the 70th anniversary celebration at Disneyland Resort, we are pleased to share exciting news about all-new experiences coming to Main Street, U.S.A, and beyond, all of which will debut for guests beginning on July 17, 2025, the 70th anniversary of Disneyland park. Each of these new offerings will not only feature the history and heritage of Disneyland, but also share optimism and excitement for the future of The Happiest Place on Earth.

⭐️A Tribute to the Sherman Brothers, Coming to the Main Street Cinema

Inside the famed Main Street Cinema, guests will get to see the story and impact of the famous songwriting duo, the Sherman brothers.

Here guests can watch a heartwarming three-and-a-half minute film called “The Last Verse,” which celebrates the timeless connection and hope behind the Sherman brothers’ iconic song, “It’s a Small World.” Created for the song’s 60th anniversary, this film unveils a new verse written by legendary composer Richard M. Sherman in his final Disney contribution. In the spirit of the beloved song, viewers journey across the globe as the song is passed from person to person and generation to generation, culminating in the reveal of this heartfelt new verse:

“Mother earth unites us in heart and mind
And the love we give makes us humankind
Through our vast wondrous land
When we stand hand in hand
It’s a small world after all.”

Additionally, we are honored to share that we will be premiering this third and final verse in the “it’s a small world” attraction at Disneyland, beginning July 17.

⭐️New Experiences at the Main Street Opera House

As guests enter the Opera House on Main Street, U.S.A., they'll find an all-new gallery experience featuring the evolution of Walt Disney’s dream of Disneyland, which became the theme park that inspired generations and changed the entertainment world forever. On display will be images, art and artifacts – some never before seen – that show Disneyland before, during, and after Walt’s dream became a reality. Walt Disney Imagineering and the Walt Disney Archives have curated relics and memorabilia from the very early stages of Disneyland, as well as through the evolution of what Walt’s original park has become today.

As they journey further into the lobby of the Opera House, guests will discover another special exhibit. Here they'll encounter the story and history of Audio-Animatronics technology, from Walt’s day leading to the advancement of where we are today. Learn about Walt’s inspiration and see firsthand the inner workings of this technology, and how far Audio-Animatronics figures have advanced through the years.

Additionally, we are honored to be collaborating with The Walt Disney Family Museum, which has selected more than 30 artifacts for these experiences in the lobby. Among the treasures on loan in the gallery will be original items from Walt’s private apartment above the Fire Station on Main Street. These items include an original rocking chair, lamp and table, all of which have never been publicly exhibited at Disneyland park before.

⭐️With so much to enjoy prior to experiencing “Walt Disney – A Magical Life,” this attraction will now open alongside these new Main Street Opera House exhibits on July 17.

As guests step into the theater, they'll get to experience the incredible story of Walt Disney’s life. Through remastered footage and audio recordings, they'll be taken on a cinematic journey that leads from Walt’s early endeavors to the bright lights of Los Angeles and beyond. And when the curtain rises, guests will be transported to Walt’s office. Through the magic of Audio-Animatronics storytelling that he helped pioneer, Walt will share some heartfelt stories and words of wisdom.

After its initial run, "Walt Disney – A Magical Life” will play in rotation with “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.”

At the conclusion of the show, as guests leave the theatre, they'll get to see just how...

Eight new ways to enjoy the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival

EPCOT is at its most beautiful in the spring when the park transforms with the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival March 5 through June 2.

1. There’s No Telling How Far These Topiaries Will Grow
An all-new topiary display will be making big waves this year at the main entrance of EPCOT – make way for Maui, Moana, HeiHei and Pua! Crafted with an artist’s careful eye and the horticulturalist’s loving care, these new topiaries will be the perfect welcome to guests walking into the park for a full day of floral fun.

2. One Little Spark of Photo Inspiration
Our friends over at Disney PhotoPass Service are unparalleled when it comes to creative ways to sprinkle extra pixie dust over guest photos. Guests can make plans to graft special Magic Shots onto their day with a bouquet of cool returning effects, as well as two new shots – including this particularly inspiring Figment Topiary Magic Shot.

3. Ahoy – Family Fun Ahead!
If EPCOT is a family favorite, then guests know just how valuable it is to stay at an EPCOT region resort; strolling from their room right to International Gateway is a lovely way to start their day. Speaking of the EPCOT region resorts, the new Playalong Bay Play Garden presented by Smucker’s Uncrustables pays homage to one of our famous resort pools, mixing fun for the whole family with adventure on the high seas. This new nautically inspired playground will be located between the Imagination! pavilion and the entrance to World Showcase.

4. Enjoy a Seaside Bounty
Flanking the Playalong Bay Play Garden presented by Smucker’s Uncrustables, find two new Outdoor Kitchens with menus full of seafood goodness: Yacht Grub and Beach Grub. Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for more menu information to sprout once the Foodie Guide goes into bloom.

And, if guests are wondering where returning favorite Outdoor Kitchens Florida Fresh and EPCOT Farmers Feast will be – they will be in their new locations at CommuniCore Plaza at the servery window and inside CommuniCore Hall, respectively.

5. A Whole Crop of Festival Merchandise
Grab a bushel of great new gear with this year’s lineup of festival merchandise! Guests can celebrate the festival’s 30thanniversary from head to toe with a matching shirt and shorts set or a bright new spirit jersey – both featuring everyone’s favorite citrusy friend, Orange Bird, and the 30th anniversary logo.

6. Jump for Joy with a New Garden Destination
A bouquet is worth a thousand words! Guests can stop by World Celebration to discover the language of emotions as shown in plants with a new garden inspired by “Inside Out 2.”

2025 Guide to Season of the Force at Disneyland Park

Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers will debut a brand-new storyline called “Reclaimed and Reforged” for a limited time beginning May 4. Guests will be able to build their own Lightsabers from scraps that have been scavenged by different pirates throughout the galaxy and made their way to Batuu. Purchase is required and advanced reservations are highly encouraged for this experience.

Droid Depot is stocked with parts, chips and more to assemble your own droid, including a BB-series, C-series or R-series unit, giving you the tools to build your own droid. Purchase is required. Incoming transmission: Droid Depot will welcome walkups from around the galaxy anytime, no reservations required.

Villagers and visitors from across the galaxy: the limited-time Season of the Force event returns to Disneyland park March 28 through May 11, 2025!

In Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the new nightly projection show “Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga” will debut on March 28, taking guests on a storytelling adventure across the galaxy.

Stunning projection effects transform the spires of Batuu near the Millennium Falcon evoking memories of some of the greatest moments in galactic history as an iconic musical score, comprised of familiar themes heard throughout the films of the Skywalker saga, draws the audience into the legendary story of the Skywalkers. Joining other familiar encounters in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, for the first time, a shadowy visitor will appear on Batuu for a limited time. Wearing what seem to be Jedi robes, there are rumors it might be the legendary Luke Skywalker!

Continuing in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge on select nights, “Fire of the Rising Moons” is a nighttime experience that showcases a different view of the stunning Disneyland park fireworks display, with musical accompaniment.

During this special gathering, villagers and visitors come together to celebrate their freedom and to honor the heroes and legends of the galaxy who came before them. As the skies over Batuu light up in bursts of color, imaginations are ignited with the iconic music associated with tales from across the galaxy.

Including selections from composer John Williams’ Star Wars film scores, “Fire of the Rising Moons” can be experienced from multiple areas in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, including the Black Spire Spaceport, the TIE Echelon docking platform and the speeder garage. Season of the Force Ride Overlays and Epic Adventures
Space Mountain will transform into a high-speed Star Wars adventure when Hyperspace Mountain returns to Tomorrowland for a limited time through May 11. Fend off crossfire from swarms of Rebel X-wing starfighters and Imperial TIE fighters amidst an intergalactic onslaught! Want to speed ahead with shorter wait times? Hyperspace Mountain is included with the purchase of Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Premier Pass, subject to availability.*

Star Tours – The Adventures Continue in Tomorrowland features characters and locations from favorite Disney+ series — “Ahsoka,” “Andor,” and “The Mandalorian.” Guests can experience one of more than 250 storyline variations aboard the attraction, including a visit to the planet Seatos from the Ahsoka series. Urgent transmissions from Ahsoka Tano, Cassian Andor, Din Djarin and Grogu may also be part of their next Starspeeder flight.

All year long and during Season of the Force, guests are invited to live out their own Star Wars story in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge! Awaken Your Senses with Adventures by Disney’s Newest European River Cruise Itinerary

Adventures by Disney will be setting sail in 2026 on a brand-new river cruise itinerary through southern France that is sure to ignite the senses and create unforgettable memories for every member of the family.

This eight-day, curated adventure will begin in Lyon, one of the world’s culinary capitals, and sail through charming towns in the Rhône River Valley to Provence, a picturesque region in the south of France that is rich with cultural, artistic, historical and culinary delights. Along the way, interactive experiences will captivate and inspire as you travel through the charming areas of Tournon, Viviers, Avignon and Arles.

“Feel” History Beneath Your Feet

Why just think about the Roman Empire when you can touch it? In Avignon, guests can do just that as they embark on a VIP-access climb to the top of the historic Pont du Gard. Adults will have the opportunity to taste local wines from one of the greatest wine-growing regions throughout the river cruise, including samples from Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyards cultivated at the request of Catholic popes residing in Avignon in the 14th century. Explorations at Sea from Singapore

The Disney Adventure, which will set sail in December 2025, will offer a lineup of three- and four-night itineraries from the Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore from April through summer 2026. Onboard the Disney Adventure, guests will unlock epic experiences that celebrate beloved stories from Disney, Pixar and Marvel. From three brand-new, Marvel-themed attractions at sea to an array of dining options and Broadway-style musical spectaculars including “Remember,” developed exclusively for the Disney Adventure, there is much in store for guests to discover.

Tropical Getaways from Central Florida

Guests seeking a sunny escape will be able to depart from Port Canaveral, Florida on three different Disney Cruise Line ships to destinations in The Bahamas and Eastern or Western Caribbean, including stops at Disney’s tropical retreats, Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

Both offering Bahamian itineraries, the Disney Fantasy will set sail on four- and five-night voyages and the Disney Wish will depart on three- and four-night voyages. The Disney Fantasy will also offer a 10-night cruise to the Southern Caribbean. Disneyland will celebrate its 70th Anniversary this year! The festivities begin May 16th, 2025, and run through the Summer of 2026.

There is so much to look forward to and to celebrate, including some returning favorites as well as some exciting new experiences.
Return of the “Paint the Night” parade with its amazing floats, dynamic costumes, unforgettable music, mesmerizing special effects, and, of course, more than a million dazzling LED lights!

Also returning is the magnificent nighttime spectacular, “Wondrous Journeys.” This incredible projection show pays tribute to the Disney animated classics that were the inspiration for Walt Disney’s original magic kingdom, transforming Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle, “it’s a small world” and the Rivers of America.

Over in California Adventure, “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” parade. This daytime parade returns to the streets of California Adventure with almost 30 beloved characters, fantastic floats, and delightful music!

The World of Color nighttime spectacular gets an all-new production with “World of Color Happiness!” Joy and the other Emotions from the “Inside Out” films host an exploration of happiness with dancing waters, stunning lights and lasers, flame effects, and music and moments from favorite Disney animated films.

No tribute to Disneyland would be complete without remembering the man actually responsible for this magical place, Walt Disney. The anniversary celebration will introduce the first-ever animatronic of Walt Disney in a brand-new show called “Walt Disney – A Magical Life.”

New European Escapes

For the first time, the Disney Dream will call on the island city of Cagliari, located in Sardinia, Italy, a brand-new destination for Disney Cruise Line. As the Disney Dream returns to Europe for the summer, it will invite guests to travel to picture-perfect ports across Italy, Greece, Croatia, Malta, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Norway, Belgium, and the United Kingdom.

The Disney Dream will kick off summer with a 14-night transatlantic crossing from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to Barcelona, Spain. Departing from Barcelona or Civitavecchia, Italy, the Disney Dream will then set sail on seven- to twelve-night Mediterranean cruises. Guests will call upon popular Greek islands to visit the blue-topped spires in Santorini, the famous windmills of Mykonos, ancient landmarks in Rhodes, and many more scenic locales.

The Disney Dream will finish out the season with three-, four-, and seven-night sailings out of Southampton, United Kingdom to Northern Europe and the Norwegian Fjords. Exploration awaits guests in the quaint, idyllic village of Olden, Norway; the seaside capital of Copenhagen, Denmark; the rocky shores of Portland, United Kingdom; and many more exciting ports of call.

We crossed another 'to-do' off the Disney list! 6 years in making. Have you ever heard of (or experienced) The Amphicar Boat Tour at The Boathouse in Disney Springs? https://www.disneysprings.com/attractions/vintage-amphicar-italian-water-taxi-tours/

Lighting Lanes are valuable! It took me 1 minute to walk from the end of the line to the front of the que. 85 minute wait. We walked on with a Lighting Lane and were on and off the ride in 16 minutes.

Have you heard of Disney's new "Hey Disney" echo device? They're located in your resort room and can do everything from checking the weather, playing music, trivia, and even requesting a cast member to come to your room. The Disney soundscapes were a constant staple in our room for the little bit we were in it.

More tomorrow but I had to share this video! This room is absolutely adorable! Newly renovated 5th sleeper rooms in Trinidad section of Caribbean Beach Resort. "Under The Sea" is what the cast members call these rooms. They're not referred to as Little Mermaid. Those are at Art of Animation.
