Ultimate Holiday Guide for Everything Walt Disney World

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park offers everything guests need to sleigh the day this holiday season. Starting Nov. 12, guests will join the Merry Menagerie puppeteers at the Tree of Life. Guests can surround themselves with artisan-sculpted wintry animal puppets like reindeer, penguins, and seals…oh my! These delightful animals create the perfect moment to capture unforgettable photos that can be shared with family and friends.

Speaking of photo-worthy moments, while guests are in DinoLand U.S.A., they should make sure to take in the vibrant dinosaur-themed carnival infused with festive cheer. New to this year’s offerings in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Santa is heading to DinoLand U.S.A, specifically Restaurant-o-Saurus! As the guest of honor at the 75th Annual Dino Institute Holiday Party on the patio, Santa’s invited everyone to join him in this festive new location. Guests can experience the moving story of Christmas at the America Gardens Theater, where a celebrity narrator is accompanied by a glorious, massed choir, 50-piece orchestra, herald trumpets and even the Voices of Liberty. It’s sure to get everyone in the holiday spirit. This year’s narrators, which include Nico Santos and Titus Burgess, are sure to bring extra inspiration!

Travel Tip!

Always watch your airlines for promotions. If an Airline has a promotion, you can typically rebook or 'change' your flight and receive a credit for the difference.

I, personally do this every time I fly. Since booking flights for a January/February trip, I've saved $100 per passenger by rebooking my same flight.

Meet Santa Claus
This year, guests can meet Santa Claus at the 75th Annual Dino Institute Holiday Party on the patio at Restaurantosaurus. As the guest of honor himself, Santa’s checked his list twice and invited everyone to join him in this festive new location as the students and faculty of the Dino Institute celebrate the season in (pre)-historic fashion from November 12-December 24.

Merry Menagerie Puppets are back on Discovery Island. These enchanting puppets feature winter animals of all sorts … and we need to boop each creature gently on the nose to start our holidays off right.

For many Walt Disney World guests, the Candlelight Processional at EPCOT is a must-do tradition each year. The beloved show tells the story of Christmas through a stunning performance, featuring a celebrity narrator, a mass choir of Disney cast members and young singers from the community, a 50-piece orchestra, herald trumpets, and the incredible Voices of Liberty. Showtimes this year have adjusted to 5:00 p.m., 6:45 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.

BREAKING NEWS

In the coming weeks, Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort will begin piloting a new service providing expedited entry to theme park attractions: Lightning Lane Premier Pass.

Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be offered in very limited quantities and will give guests one-time entry to each available Lightning Lane entrance in the theme park they are visiting that day. This includes attractions included in both Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass, but with Lightning Lane Premier Pass, guests do not need to select an experience time. Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be a premium offering, and prices will vary based on the date and theme park guests are visiting.

This new pass will be available to select guests and starts on October 23rd in Disneyland and October 30th in Disney World.

Construction will officially begin on Tropical Americas at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park on January 13th, 2025!

This means that the last day of operation TriceraTop Spin, Fossil Fun Games, and Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures will be January 12th, 2025 🦖

DINOSAUR, the Boneyard, Restaurantosaurus, Dino-Bite Snacks, and Trilo-Bites will continue to operate normally until later in 2025, per Disney 🦕

Have you heard of Disney's new "Hey Disney" echo device? They're located in your resort room and can do everything from checking the weather, playing music, trivia, and even requesting a cast member to come to your room. The Disney soundscapes were a constant staple in our room for the little bit we were in it.

Be right back bawling! Disney tugs at the heart strings. So thankful that "Happily Ever After" returned!

More tomorrow but I had to share this video! This room is absolutely adorable! Newly renovated 5th sleeper rooms in Trinidad section of Caribbean Beach Resort. "Under The Sea" is what the cast members call these rooms. They're not referred to as Little Mermaid. Those are at Art of Animation.

Have you ever heard of alcohol infused ice cream? Buzzed Bull Creamery - Pigeon Forge, TN you can get just that. Don't worry, non-buzzed concoctions are available!

When your Son plays Travel Baseball and will be playing at these fields in 2025... you come check them out! What an awesome place!

The new MagicBand+ is pretty cool! Definitely interactive. I had a little trouble linking them to my phone at first, you have to connect Bluetooth. Once I got it, it was easy! You do have to charge them before they can successfully link. Each time you walk near a 50th anniversary statue, they vibrate and light up. You can wave your hands in front of some of the statues and they'll talk or play music. They are interactive on rides or experiences. They truly come to life during show times like fireworks, Fantasmic, etc.
