Looking for somewhere to stay in beautiful Normandy? Look no further!

We've recently put new beds in our gite, so there's now a Super King bed (180x200) in the main room, and a double bed in the smaller bedroom. We've also put a new sofa downstairs, which is also a sofa bed... So lots more space!

We've moved back to the UK for a short while and we've had lots of you asking what's happened to our chickies... Well they are all being very well looked after! They went to three different new homes and are all very happy. Here are Dhansak, Biryani, Lightening and Thunder... Not enjoying the snow but loving their new home! 🏡🐔

Our gite is still open for bookings, as is the main house for larger groups, so get in touch if you need a break 😊😊

Tonight I'm not thinking about all the awful things that have happened in 2020. Tonight I'm feeling so happy (& slightly tipsy) to be with my little family (we didn't get that privilege last year ) in our lovely house, in the country that we love and with the food that we adore! Happy New year everyone, here's to a better a year 🥂🥂🥂

2020... L’année où nos voisins sont devenus nos amis.
Leurs actes de bonté nous ont aidés à traverser cette année difficile. Vivre en dehors de notre famille et nos amis au Royaume-Uni a été difficile, mais avoir ces gens merveilleux dans nos vies a été vraiment agréable.
Même s’ils se moquent de nos accents tout le temps! 😂😂😂

2020... The year we became amateur pig farmers!
Karl and Coco taught us a lot. Pigs are the most amazing animals, hugely intelligent, loving, mischievous and... Hungry! They turned the land for us, creating a new veg patch for next year, they ate our kitchen scraps and they provided a huge amount of entertainment (& exercise when we were running after them around the garden every time they escaped). They have gone to a better place and now we can enjoy the incredible meat that they've provided... sustainabality at it's best (although, I admit, it was really hard to say goodbye).

So here's to Karl and Coco, the first pigs at La Maison Landon. ❤️🐖❤️

2020... The year of social distancing. Or should we call it physical distancing? In some ways, I've been more connected to people than ever before.
Take these lovely ladies for instance. I was having a bit of a wobble, missing everyone and feeling a bit overwhelmed with it all, so then these girls organised a weekly zoom chat. We've been going strong for over 5 months now and it's been amazing to know I'll see these gorgeous faces at least once every week. I don't think I've seen you all this much since school!

Thank you Anna, Jessica, Eleanor and Hina (unfortunately not in this photo 😢) for being such an incredible support to me, couldn't have done it without you ❤️❤️❤️

2020...what a year! Not the best year to have a fledgling tourism business, not the best year to be on drugs that suppress your immune system and not the best year to be living in a different country from your husband and your family!
BUT, I am so grateful for lots of things and am so aware that I'm so much luckier than most. So I thought I would post some pictures that have made me happy, in the hope that they bring some positivity to you too. And what better way to start, than with Viola running through the forest in Le Perche, Normandie. This girl makes me smile every day.

C’est le dernier jour de Viola dans la grande section de l’école Bignon. 😭. Elle a pris un peu de « fudge anglais » pour tout le monde d’essayer 🍬🍬🍬
Nous sommes très reconnaissants à tous à Bignon, pour accueillir Viola (la petite fille anglaise) et tout le monde nous manquera tellement. Merci beaucoup et j’espère vous revoir bientôt!
