The right wing will be the final element of restauration, as the plane with its 2 wings, won’t physically fit in any of the hangars at Chelan airport 😇

Reading through the original manuals in preparation of our UPCOMING FLIGHT 🎉🎉🎉

Our Lodestar -The Rock- will very soon be back in the air! 🤩 We will execute a repositioning flight to bring the aircraft to its final hangar, where the last maintenance actions will be performed!

Our Lodestar N21G has two Curtis Wright 1820-56s engines. They are reliable 9 cylinder air-cooled engines arranged in a radial pattern.

The version of our engines are limited to 1200 horsepower each. They have a two stage supercharger that is engaged at 14.000ft - this will make for a possible cruise at an astonishing FL200!

Both engine were recently completely overhauled by one of the best engine shops in the US and have currently 0 hours time SMOH.

A few months ago, before we attached the wings, we performed some test runs on the engines 🏁

Nothing better than the sound of propellers moving, the smell of burned fuel and the sight of white smoke coming out of the exhaust 💨⛽️
