In Trinidad, this time of the year is when we do our spring cleaning. Painting our homes, new curtains etc all in preparation for Christmas Day to welcome Jesus Christ into our homes. During this time we listen to a lot of music, titled Parang. When Parang music starts playing on the radio, you knew Christmas is near and make sure you home is in order.
Here is one of the famous Parang Songs I grew up with.
