(२०१८) ८ आॅगस्ट ला सकाळी ५/५.३० ला च जाग आली. गेले सात दिवस लडाख च्या टूर मधे रोज ह्या च वेळेला उठायची सवय लागली होती. भराभर आवरून रोज नवीन ठिकाणी निघायचं. टूर संपवून ७ आॅगस्ट ला मुंबईत परत आलो पण मनाने मात्र लडाख मधेच होतो. Green Apples १ आॅगस्ट ला लेह ला पोहोचल्या वर हुंदडत एअरपोर्ट च्या बाहेर पडणारी आमची गँग काल परतीच्या प्रवासासाठी लेह एअरपोर्ट ला जाताना एकदम खट्टू झाली. [ 355 more words ]

Draas War Memorial द्रास च्या वाॅर मेमोरियल च्या गेट वर लिहिलेल्या या ओळी वाचून सगळेच निःशब्द झाले. भारतवासीयांच्या सुरक्षितते साठी जवानांनी केलेलं बलिदान… त्याची गाथा शब्दात मांडणं खरचं कठीण. असाच काहीसा अनुभव हया मेमोरियल मधे पाय ठेवल्यावर येतो. गेट मधून आत आल्यावर, समोरच दिसते.. तळपता सूर्य आता पँगाँग लेक च्या बरोबर मध्यावर होता. उन्हाचे सोनेरी रुपेरी कवडसे पाण्यावर चमचमत होते. हया निळाई च वर्णन करायला शब्द सुचतच नाहीत. Pangong Tso पँगाँग लेक…. १४,००० फुटांवरचं आणखी एक आश्चर्य… लडाख च्या मुख्य आकर्षणां पैकी एक. जगातील सर्वाधिक उंचीवरील खाऱ्या पाण्याचं सरोवर. तब्बल १३४ किलोमीटर लांबीच्या या लेक चा ६०% भाग आहे चीन मधे आणि ४०% भाग आहे भारतात. सकाळी चहा बरोबर कँपसाईट वर मस्त गप्पा चालू होत्या. काल संध्याकाळी हुंडर च्या वाळवंटात केलेली कॅमल सफारी, वाळवंटात च धमाल करत खाल्लेली Tea Time snacks चहा भजी, रात्री जेवणानंतर गावातली Blackout मधली भटकंती अस सगळं रिपीट टेलिकास्ट सुरू होत. हुंडर गाव म्हणजे अक्षरशः वाळवंट आहे… विस्तीर्ण पसरलेला भूभाग. Two Hamped Camel Safari हे हुंडर चे वैशिष्ट्य. Hunder Village नाश्ता तयार झाला तशा सगळ्यांनी गप्पा आवरत्या घेतल्या. [ 308 more words ]

"उठो… यहाँ चाय काॅफी पिने १५-२० मिनिट रुकना है"..आमच्या ड्रायवर अब्बास ने उठवलं. डोळे किलकिले करत गाडीतले सगळे जागे झाले. आम्ही झोपेतच होतो. किती वाजलेत कुठे आलो आहोत… काहीही समजत नव्हतं. तासाभरा पूर्वी खारदुंग ला वरून गाड्या पुढे निघाल्या इतकच आठवत होतं.. बाकी काहीच नाही. खूप झोप लोटली होती. कितीतरी दिवसांची झोप बाकी आहे अस वाटत होतं. २ मिनिटं झाली गाड्या थांबून तरी कोणी बाहेरच येईना. Maharashtra's Monsoon Mania
