It's a magical year when Christmas and Hanukkah overlap, and even more magical when they overlap with big snowfall. We're celebrating a white Christmas here in Innsbruck!

I’m thrilled to share a special story written by Henry I. Baldwin (1896-1992), grandfather of long-time Lumi guest Gunnar Knapp. Gunnar recently reached out after rediscovering his grandfather's autobiography, “The Skiing Life," to share excerpts his grandfather wrote about the 1924 Holmenkollen 50K cross-country ski race. 📸 💫 99 years after his grandfather’s visit, Gunnar traveled with Lumi Experiences and his family to the historic 2023 Holmenkollen World Cup, when the women were skiing the first-ever women’s 50K event.

❄️ 🫕 Ski season is just around the corner, which means fondue season is coming up quickly too! This March, skiers on Lumi’s Seefeld & Engadin trip will travel from Seefeld, a popular ski area outside of Innsbruck, Austria, across the Swiss border to the Engadin Valley in Switzerland, where fondue has been a winter staple cuisine for centuries.

In 2023, one of the season highlights for me was seeing Jessie earn the first ever individual World Championship Gold for the US and Jessie & Julia winning bronze for the team sprint!
