Happy 80th birthday to Ray Meagher. One of our most famous students here at The Somerset Dam Schoolhouse back when it was an operating school. Many people don’t know that the school was only decommissioned as a school in the year 2000. According to old school records Ray attended Somerset Dam State School in the 1950’s. Were not exactly sure how long he was in attendance but we’re sure our little school holds some great memories for him 🥳

We are soooo appreciative to have the Tilers on site this weekend. Getting trades to go out to Somerset Dam can be a challenge, but they are in residence and the bathroom is being TILED!!!!

During the Christmas break we finally had time to work on the entry to Classroom 2. These treasures are mostly from my recent shopping haul , they work a treat in this area. I love a good gallery wall to provide some interest and fill a space.

The renovations are coming along nicely. This is bedroom 5. This light filled room has a comfy Queen bed plus a day bed that converts from a single to a full king size. Perfect when you want the kids close by. The Schoolhouse sleeps 4 families comfortably over 5 bedrooms.
