Kokoda Leisure Expedition is locally owned & was formed to provide a real experience of the Kokoda Track, 1942 history, village culture & an enjoyable time with locals. KLE is operated by experienced and reliable owners who are native to the Kokoda Track area and descendants of the Fuzzy Wuzzy Angels. Using KLE will give trekkers a real sense of what occurred on the track in 1942 along with experi
encing the culture of village life today. Safety is paramount, therefore KLE safeguards all aspects of walking the track, river crossings are fully manned along with guide ropes. Lead guides are trained in first aid, carry first aid kits and satellite phones in event of illness or injury. KLE have a nutritional menu for meals along the track starting the day with breakfast, then on the track morning teas and lunches, once you arrive into the nights camp beverages and pop corn are there waiting for you. Once refreshed you are invited to join (if you wish) the porters to prepare the delicious dinner. KLE guides and porters are handpicked from villages along the track to ensure trekkers are well cared for just like the Australian diggers in 1942.
