Another successful day of Zoom mediating! Helping parties resolve disputes saved the Plaintiff 3 years of having litigation hanging over their heads while saving the Insurance Company 3 years of additional litigation expenses. Win-win and none of us had to leave our homes!!

NEW BREATHALYZER RULES
"They allow officers to demand a breathalyzer test from any driver, even one who is not suspected of impaired driving. Until now, police had to have a reasonable suspicion of impaired driving if they wanted to demand a breathalyzer test."

Canada's news impaired driving laws come into force this week, and they change both what officers can ask for and what you can be charged with.

This piece from the AP appears in the Toronto Star, but it looks like Uber Health is only running south of the border right now. There was a test for it started by retirement homes in BC last year. Hopefully it will become widespread in Ontario soon. Anything that helps people get to their doctor's appointment is a good development. “There are a lot of people out there who are not going to the doctor simply because they can’t physically make it there."

The ride-hailing service said its Uber Health business will handle rides set up by doctor’s offices or other health care providers and then bill that business, not the patient.
