April flew by, didn't it?

But hey, what a ride it‘s been! Feeling major gratitude for my awesome clients I got to plan with this past month.

Here’s what I’ve been up to:

This month I got to curate a dreamy escape for clients jetting off to Oahu.
And oh, the excitement of finalizing those last-minute details for my clients heading to England and Belgium.

Give yourself the gift of maximum flexibility. Whether it’s booking the flex fare or refundable hotel rate or adding travel insurance (always have travel insurance!), give yourself lots of flexibility just in case things don’t go exactly as planned.

I'll literally breathe a sigh of relief every time someone I'm working with makes it to the airport, boards their flight, and is officially on the way.

But what happens if you do miss your flight?

1️⃣ First, if you’re headed to the airport and you’re pretty sure you won’t make your flight, contact the airline en route to let them know. They may even be able to start making arrangements for a new flight.

2️⃣ When you arrive, make a beeline for the airline’s customer service desk — they’re your best allies for getting booked onto another flight.

3️⃣ Get in touch with your travel advisor (Hey hey, that’s me!) so I can re-arrange your airport transfers and call the hotel to let them know you’re arriving later so you don’t risk getting bumped in an overbooking situation, or getting stuck with the worst room.

When travel plans hang in the balance, it’s a must to have support and someone to help smooth things over.

Angkor Wat is a complex made up of hundreds and hundreds of temples and buildings -we saw 4 while we were there!
The magnitude of it is hard to capture-and wandering around truly made it feel like you were on an adventure-this is partially where they filmed Tomb Raider.
You can wander freely on your own, but we hired a guide so we could understand the historical and cultural significance -plus get a lot of fun photos.
Angkor Wat is a place where you can roam through the jungle, interact with history from the 12th century, have an amazing meal in any number of the restaurants that dot the complex, and also reportedly stand in the center of the universe-not bad for a day trip!

Now that I’ve (semi) recovered from jet lag, I’ll be recapping my trip to Cambodia over the next week.
If you’ve ever been interested in visiting this fascinating country, I’ll be posting some great tips and experiences from my time there.
Cambodia has a complicated past, but the people are incredibly warm and our trip left us wanting to return already.
I can’t wait to share more with you!

Story time: the first trip my husband and I took to Rome, we felt like we had to see it ALL.
We toured the Coliseum, the Vatican, Palitine Hill, the Spanish Steps, the Trevi fountain , and more.
We stuffed ourselves silly with all the food and walked miles every day. And, we were only there for 3 days!
Are you tired just reading this? Because we were exhausted. Of course we loved our time there, but because of this we’ve since returned!
The point is, trying to see and do everything will leave you with that “ I just got back from vacation and I need another vacation” feeling.
Something I really try to implement now when planning a trip is focusing on a few “ must do’s”.
If you love a place so much you want to do it all, you’ll most likely return in the future.
