What was the feeling you had when you left the Rockburn Chasm and saw this view 😍

Mother Earth as I walk through the standing ones (the trees)
I feel you,
I feel your children of whom I am one
I feel your breath (the air)
I feel your blood (the water) which is part of my blood
we both circulate with each other and within each other
we cannot do without each other.

We support and nourish each other when we lived in harmony
When we walked together I feel am in you as I walk through your breath (the air)
I am in you, nourished by you and held by you
as are you in my heart.

We live together, we thrived together.
It is only when we are separate that disharmony happens
When I am in you,
I feel held and in harmony with you,
my family, which is all your children (the fishes, the plants, insects, the ones who fly, the birds) all those who live within your atmosphere are part of my family.

You are our mother of whom I am so proud, honoured and respectful, for this great family, you have made me a part of
your children.

When I love you
I love our family, to have you is to have all your children as our/my family.

To have one is to have the other, our family
I only feel home when I am with/in you
And all your children.

Love Christopher.

Tonight's sunset
I honestly cannot put in words
what it was like sitting here being with this
and breathing it in
feeling this and where I was sitting.

A magic moment sitting with nature and feeling her breath, listening to her waters lapping at the shore and the quiet changes of colour that brought to the eyes an exquisite sense of phenomena.

Witnessed by a few but available for many
and for those of us who choose to take the time in nature
and be with her
as she guides us to a closer sense of union
beauty, and harmony.

Love Christopher.

Tomorrow marks the first official public holiday to celebrate Matariki, the Māori New Year. ✨

Matariki refers to a large cluster of stars, and the rising of Matariki in the mid-winter sky signals the changing of the seasons and the beginning of the Māori New Year. It’s a time to reflect on the past, celebrate the present, and look forward to the future.

Early risers will be able to see the Matariki star cluster before sunrise, so wrap up warm, step outside and turn your gaze to the sky.🌃🌟

The small township of Glenorchy is a must-visit for anyone wanting to experience true alpine scenery. The village sits between the massive Humbolt, Barrier, and Richardson mountain ranges in the mighty Southern Alps. Glenorchy’s soaring peaks, lakes, glacial rivers, and ancient beech forests make it a dream destination for outdoor adventures.

Make sure you also take the 20km drive to Paradise from Glenorchy, and you’ll instantly see why it received its name!

Our little Red Shed sure is a beauty, but did you know it is actually an old railway shed?
Epic shot by Bare Kiwi taking advantage of a rather high lake level to capture some awesome reflections. 😍😍🏔🏔

Wow, I just had such an epic start to my 3rd decade on earth!
Went out for breakfast with friends, moved my monster of a drum kit to our new house, played in some highline at a highline festival, had a potluck dinner with friends and cooked an epic curry, spun fire, played songs on the drums from my old band with , then finished the day having a spa! I don’t think I could have managed to squeeze anything much more into that day if I’d tried! Such good times 😁
A huge thanks and so much love for .cameron for treating me like a king with massages, presents 🎁 and baking a chocolate mint birthday cake! 🎂 you’re the best! ❤️
I thought I’d share an image of the place I’ve lived for these past 30 years and have so much love for, Queenstown. Taken from The Remarkables during one of the most epic sunsets I’ve ever seen! I love how the late evening light captures the glow of the town under the still burning sky 😍

After a recent Skippers mission a few weeks ago, I was inspired to come back and shoot this composition of the Skippers Road winding through the mountains with some epic light!
I've been waiting patiently for the right sunset or sunrise to do this spot justice, and I thought this morning had a chance to be that with the cloud forecast! It wasn't what I hoped, but I ended up with this early morning pano with the Moon dead centre instead! I didn't actually realise the Moon was perfectly in the middle until I stitched it all together 😅 stoked!
I also adventured quite high up to the top of that left peak to see what I could find up there, it was a fun morning scrambling up cliffs and through gnarly prickle bushes to get above 3 epic spires that look insane from below! They do look pretty cool from above too, so thats another mission I need to wait for some good light to undertake 😅 watch this space!

Today

I stood in nature
and nature said to me.

You are this beauty
which you see.

For you and I
I made from the same source
consciousness.

For what you see in me
you are.

And we have both
been made the same way
in the same beauty.

To show the same beauty
for it is
what we are.

As we are
the same consciousness.

And we both show
from where we come
and what
we come from.

Live it
for it is
what we are.

Love Christopher.
