It’s not what happens to your property, it’s the response!
Pool heated to 86 degrees all thru the coldest week in 20 years! But two copper coils rubbed and froze a pin hole and when the unit shut down all the Freon was gone. Guests checking in at 4 with kids counting on swimming on their precious family vacation.
Nobody, I mean nobody was willing to come out on New Years Eve. I cleaned the filter but still error codes, we travelled to find a brand new cartridge, still errors. Property management company said they are a week out on repairs.
We told our incoming guests about the problem and they were so disappointed, naturally.
After searching for help all day for someone who works on pool heaters I had an idea to send out an S.O.S. to every air conditioning guy I’ve ever worked with, describing the urgent need and hoping someone, on NYE would come help this family. One guy responded and said he knew a guy who might.
After a short phone call Dean was on his way with gauges, copper welding tanks, refrigerant and twenty years experience.
We found the leak, welded it solid, pumped the gas and got that heat exchanger working. Family has warm pool water today on New Year’s Day!! Thank you Dean and all our guests!
