I had my first literary tourism experience in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. I visited the sites that were the inspiration for Canadian mystery writer Louise Penny to write her Chief Inspector Gamache series. I searched for the fictional town of Three Pines which is the setting for many of her 18 books. As a Louise Penny fan who has read all her books, it was a fun way to explore the gorgeous Eastern Townships in southeastern Quebec.
There were some great biking trails there too!
