We're driving home today, but I wanted to share how our last day, spent in Magic Kingdom, went!
We met every princess, rode almost every ride (including Tron: Lightcycle Run for the first time!), had a perfect spot for fireworks, and even sang Happy Birthday to Donald Duck at the end of the night with Mickey conducting our crowd!

Yesterday we visited Epcot to enjoy the Flower & Garden Festival! The topiaries and flower displays were absolutely beautiful, the booths had amazing food, and, as always, the nighttime fireworks were a treat.
Today is another (much needed!) rest day, where we're gonna enjoy the pool again and prep for Magic Kingdom tomorrow, but first! Breakfast at Steakhouse 71 inside the Contemporary resort followed by a ride on the monorail!

Disney's Hollywood Studios was magical yesterday! We met Stitch, Rafiki, Pinocchio, Meeko, Launchpad, Max, and a penguin from Mary Poppins to start our day! We rode Slinky Dog Dash, Smuggler's Run, Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, and more! We even met live action Ariel - Lela was absolutely star struck.

Today is a "rest day" but we'll hardly be slowing down - Jared and Scott are going to explore Disney Springs while I take Lela swimming at our resort, followed by an afternoon craft activity! Then we're all headed to Ale & Compass for a fancy dinner tonight!

Happy Monday!
After arriving yesterday and getting settled in our Lion King Family Suite at Disney's Art of Animation resort, the boys took a much-needed rest while Lela and I ventured out to Disney Springs for a late-night viewing of The Little Mermaid! I have to admit, it's now my favorite live-action remake. Halle can SING.
Today, we're taking the Skyliner over to Disney's Hollywood Studios for some fun rides, awesome shows, and delicious snacks! Check back later to see how it's going!

I'm spending this week at WDW with Jared, the kids, and my dad to celebrate the summer and check out all the new things around the Walt Disney World Resort so I can better serve my clients! Check back all this week to see what we're up to!

It's Wednesday night, which is orchestra rehearsal for me! How does this relate to Disney, you might ask? Well, as we prepare for our Halloween concert, we're working up pieces that were featured in Disney productions - like Night on Bald Mountain, by Mussorgsky, featured in Fantasia. I get immense joy getting to combine my love of music and Disney on a weekly basis!

It's the anniversary of Hercules! I'm gonna let you in on a secret - this is not my favorite Disney movie - I don't even really like it - HOWEVER - it has one of my most favorite soundtracks! On my last Disney cruise, I made 'friends' with one of the ship's pianists, and when he asked what I wanted to hear, "Go the Distance" was my first thought. (And of course, he played it perfectly - actually, let me show you!!)

It's Lady and the Tramp's anniversary today! Did you know there is an entire restaurant in Magic Kingdom based on our favorite pooches? Tony's Town Square Restaurant even features a beautiful fountain with Lady and Tramp themselves! (The food is pretty good, too - there is a spaghetti and meatball cupcake that Lela still talks about, months later!)

Happy Lion King anniversary day! 28 years ago, we were blessed with this fantastic film - the music, the imagery, the voice-acting - it's all top notch!
And there are so many way to experience it in the Disney parks! From Festival of the Lion King, a live-action musical in Animal Kingdom, to the super fun scene in Mickey's Philharmagic in Magic Kingdom, to the Lion King themed suites in Disney's Art of Animation Resort, there all all these ways and many more to celebrate Simba, Timon, Pumbaa, Rafiki, and more!

When we miss Disney, we dress up as our favorite fairy. :)
A few weeks ago, BREC, our local parks and rec department, hosted Fae Fest, a celebration of all things magical and mythical, and when given the option to dress up, we picked Tinkerbell!
It's not the same as watching her fly from the castle, but my Tink is pretty cute, too. ;)
If you want to see the real Tinkerbell, I have just the right amount of pixie dust to help you get there!

It's official! Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party returns this summer!
Ghosts and ghouls of all ages are invited to don their favorite costumes and celebrate all things haunted! Taking place on select nights Aug. 12 through Oct. 31, 2022, this special event haunts Magic Kingdom Park after normal park operating hours from 7 p.m. to midnight.
As a part of this limited-capacity event, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party attendees will encounter event-exclusive entertainment, notorious Disney villains, frightfully delicious menu items and more!
The party dates are:
🎃August: 12, 16, 19, 23, 26, 30
🎃September: 2, 5, 9, 11, 13, 16, 18, 20, 23, 25, 27, 29, 30
🎃October: 2, 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30, 31
Guests of Walt Disney World Resort hotels, including Swan and Dolphin and Shades of Green, can book their tickets as early as May 12!

Happy National Corn Dog Day!
Do you know, in all the years I've been going to Disney, and all the corn dogs (and corn dog nuggets) we've consumed as a family, I don't seem to have a single picture of one?! I just they just get scarfed down too quickly!
But what I can show you is *almost* as good - the 50th anniversary hot dog - available at Casey's Corner in Magic Kingdom, which is also the spot to get the best corn dogs!

Happy Pi Day!
Let me introduce you to my most favorite Disney pie - the Lemon Ice Box Pie from Animator's Palate on the Disney Wonder (and other DCL ships). I don't even like lemon desserts, but I ordered this on a whim on my first cruise and I loved it so much I literally dream about it. My next goal is to learn how to make it at home!
