"I bought a Viator tour package that combined a visit to the Oak Alley Plantation and a Cajun Pride Swamp Tour. I didn’t have a ton of time in New Orleans but I wanted to go on an excursion and this package was perfect! The Cajun Pride Swamp Tours is a privately owned wildlife refuge. Because they’re privately owned you’re not running into anyone else. This makes for great uninterrupted photos and videos. It also allows you to see much more wildlife. On my tour I saw wild pigs, raccoons and of course alligators. Our captain was incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife and surrounding areas. He went into the history taking us to a literal graveyard where a number of alligators liked to hang out. It was a long day but it was absolutely perfect!
