WE NEED YOUR HELP! Please like our new page.

Let's just say we know a lot more now than we did 7 years ago when we first launched Sensory Super Heroes and our page!

😭 Sadly, we somehow lost ownership of it a few years ago and have been protesting and lobbying to Meta ever since, with no success.

The time has come to let it go... and face the reality of starting again with a brand new page.

This means letting go of 7 years of work building a community of more than 7.8k followers, and 30 reviews (with a 100% five-star rating) 😱

The first Sunday of August every year is unofficially celebrated around the world as Sisters’ Day.

I know I'm a few days late (which is totally my style, of course, as an Audhd woman)... but I wanted to mark the occasion by acknowledging my amazing sister Kally 😍

Our new Sleeptime Bundle is a little selection of our 'best sellers' for helping your Little Super Hero at bedtime ☺️

We wanted to offer a super generous saving for this bundle as we know that sleep is very important and we also know that getting to sleep can be a common problem for our neuro-divergent customers.

Our calming and soft COMPRESSION BED SHEET (AKA Lycra Bed Sock) has been reported to help individuals with autism, ADHD, and sensory processing differences, anxiety, insomnia and other sleep challenges. They provide deep pressure input that helps to calm an over stimulated nervous system by flooding the brain with the simple message "I am safe", and set our little super heroes up for a long, restful, rejuvenating sleep.

Another benefit is they stay on all night, for even the most wriggly sleepers... and therefore they also don't kick off the doona you might place over top! They are designed to use in the Australian climate and comfortable to use in all seasons.

The large OOZE TUBE is a beautiful visual tool that is perfect for keeping on a bedside table. It can help your Little Super Hero relax and unwind at bedtime, as they can focus their attention on the slow-moving goop and enjoy watching it fall to the bottom like flowing lava.

Try using the SQUISHY FIDGET as a way to focus an anxious mind and slow it down. You could ask your child to hold the squishy fidget whilst closing their eyes... then think about what it feels like, what it smells like, and count how long it takes to return to size after it's squished. Maybe you can incorporate a breathing exercise in time with each squish and slow release (like inflating a balloon inside their belly, then imagine they are slowly letting the air out of the balloon as they breathe out).

We also highly recommend adding a meditation / visualisation book to this bundle by buying one online (click links below) and reading a different story to your child each night.

Some Little Super Heroes may also benefit from having the Wilbarger Brushing Protocol done on them at bedtime, keeping in mind that the correct 'Therapressure Brush' must be used and parents / carers must be trained by an Occupational Therapist qualified in this technique.
