The Mitchell River Silt Jetties are among the longest in the world, stretching for 8km through the Gippsland Lakes. And if boating is life, this is essentially a boat highway ⛵.

The silt jetties start where the Mitchell River feeds into Lake King at Eagle Point (near Paynesville), a dream for fishing 🎣 and boating enthusiasts 🚤.

If you’ve ever been lucky enough to touch a koala, you will know that there’s nothing softer! 😍🐨 However, Raymond Island koalas are wild and will bite and scratch if you get close.

They really do resemble teddy bears – hence the popular name “koala bear.” However, they’re more related to other marsupials such as the kangaroo, bandicoot, and possum. They’re not related to bears at all. They just look like them because they’re cute and fluffy! 💚

Remember this view? We do and we are so super excited to welcome the new owners of LakeView Bar And Bistro Loch Sport to The Middle of Everywhere 🧡

Opening today, Wednesday 31 May, for lunch, dinner and drinks and then operating 7 days a week for lunch and dinner.

Opening night specials include $22 Schnitty and $6 schooners 6 to 8pm.

They are also working on the pizzas! Once operational, pizza will be available from 6.00pm every night, eat in or take away.

Cats In The Kitchen will be live this Saturday night for the teams first weekend in the pub. And the following weekend [the long weekend] Ryan Lestrange live on Sat 10th from 8:30pm.

So super excited! Has this farmer found a wife? “Yeah definitely”!!
Congratulations to Farmer Brenton and the adorable Sophie.

We have absolutely loved watching this special relationship grow and enjoying all the wonderful scenes from around our region.

The couple have enjoyed amazing experiences over the past weeks including dining at Carrajung Estate and Woodside Beach Hotel and taking in the Ninety Mile Beach.

We wish them all the very best for their future together and are so happy to welcome Soph to The Middle of Everywhere 🧡
