Becky and I are getting so excited for the Iceland Noir Festival next month in Reykjavik! Four days of programs and talks by some of the best crime writers in the world! Not to mention a chance to see the Northern Lights!!!

A literary festival celebrating darkness in all its forms. Founded by internationally bestselling authors Ragnar Jónasson and Yrsa Sigurðardóttir, the festival started as a celebration of crime fiction in 2013.

On our way up to see Caleb on Monday, we took a different route along Snowy Range Road in WY, to connect up to I-80 eventually. What a gorgeous drive!

Just picked zucchini from my garden before it got TOO huge! What a difference a month makes after my garden was pretty much destroyed after a couple hail storms! The cucumber and sugar snap peas never made it back, but I'm happy with what ultimately survived.

A beautiful hike to Fragrance Lake outside Bellingham today with my daughter. It was pretty much all uphill the first 2 miles, but the peaceful lake was worth the sore muscles tomorrow!

Looking forward to visiting my daughter, Paige, tomorrow in WA for a few days to see her dance studio's end-of-year performance! She teaches several classes there, and her brother created a song for her older kiddos ballet class. Should be a fun weekend!

My husband and I just booked a last minute trip to Belize for our 30th anniversary! Has anyone been there before? We plan to snorkel at least half a day, but looking for other tips and suggestions. Booked with miles and hotel points, whoop!

A really fun, beautiful day at Chatfield State Park! The lake is pretty flooded right now, with all this rain we've been getting for the past month!

Mykonos! We were finally able to dock later that afternoon, and took a shuttle bus into the city center. A very beautiful place, but also very crowded, so we didn't stay too long.
