Lecale is an ancient barony, once a peninsula, in County Down, Northern Ireland. Famous as the birthplace of Patrician heritage, it boasts the landing place, first church, and final resting place of Patrick, Ireland's patron saint. Much of Lecale was designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) in 1967, and merged with Strangford AONB in 2010. There is much to do and see with Lecale for
visitor and locals alike.
