Set foot inside this family-friendly cottage fully stocked for your vacation needs. First and foremost, this is our family cottage, so a lot of TLC has gone into crafting the space!
★ The Lake ★
Spend your days by the lake lounging in one of the provided Adirondack chairs, or soak up the sun on the spacious private dock. The kids will love playing on the small shoreline beach with stairs for easy
water entry that transitions into a shallow walk-in swim area with a sandy bottom. Get out on the water with your family in the four-person canoe, or enjoy a solo outing on one of two stand-up paddleboards available during summer. In the evenings, pull up a chair to the lake-front fire pit, perfect for roasting marshmallows! You can access Pigeon and Chemong Lakes from our lake without any locks, so feel free to bring your boat! There is a public launch in the town of Buckhorn just minutes away.
★ The Sunroom ★
In the summer, enjoy the sunroom with a ceiling fan and floor-to-ceiling windows that easily slide open to let the breeze in while keeping the bugs out. The space is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee, unwinding with a good book, or hosting dinner, all while overlooking the lake.
★ The Cottage ★
The lakehouse is a newly-updated all-season 3-bedroom bungalow that comfortably accommodates 6 people and makes for an ideal stay for families and couples. No matter the season, you will always be comfortable as the house has central AC, a forced-air furnace, ceiling fans, and a wood-burning fireplace. The 3-piece bathroom includes a stand-up shower and is stocked with bath towel sets for each guest, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, a hairdryer, and toilet paper. In the summer, beach towels will be provided for outdoor use. The kitchen is fully stocked for preparing and enjoying meals together (pots, pans, baking sheets, roasting racks, new dishes, mixing bowls, spices and condiments, cutlery, etc.). Other kitchen conveniences include a dishwasher, microwave, filtered water, dual air fryer, panini press, coffee maker, toaster, blender, and Instant Pot. Meals can be enjoyed at the dining table that comfortably seats 6 or at the kitchen island that seats 4 for casual eats. A highchair can be provided upon request. Two bedrooms have a queen bed each, while the 3rd bedroom has a double-over-double bunk bed, perfect for the kids. All bedrooms have black-out window coverings to keep the sun out and the kids sleeping. Each bed has a new mattress, sheets, pillows, and comforter sets. You will also find a dresser in each room for storage. For those lazy nights, lounge on one of the leather couches in the family room and cozy up to the wood-burning fireplace. Enjoy a movie on the 50" smart TV with access to IPTV and a built-in Chromecast. And when the kids have had enough screen time, feel free to explore our cabinet stocked with various board and card games.
★ Seasonal Notes ★
⋆ The dock is out of the water for the winter season and goes back in the water around May long weekend, pending any delays due to weather.
⋆ The cottage is a rural property with a descending driveway. Those with smaller vehicles lacking four-wheel drive or winter tires may have to park at the top of the driveway if they encounter inclement weather.
⋆ The sunroom can be enjoyed in the winter, but since it is uninsulated, you'll need to use the provided infrared heater.
